Brawler doesn't refresh damage shield, intended?

I don't know if this is new to 1.5 or not, but when using the 2H skill brawler, as long as there are remaining points on an old damage shield, the secondary effect of the ability does nothing at all. Other damage shields (tested blazing shield & restoring ward) do not suffer from this, they always refresh the damage shield to full on cast.

Who would have thought, right? In other news, it's also still reduced by armor, whereas impulse still ignores all defenses.

Do you have proof of this?

They said they were fixing the Sharpened bug this patch, so if you could provide any additional information on Impulse bypassing Spell Resistance completely, it might be helpful.

Oh they did? It seems that eluded me, my comment was indeed based on the pre 1.5 sharpening situation then in regard to that. AFAIK, what remains is that impulse is still unblockable whereas cleave is not, right?

Anyone notice if Obsidian Shield also won't refresh on recast if the last cast still has anything left?
