Crafting Writs - Are you limited to one group of quests?

Just a quick question because I think I messed up while rushing through the initial quest for the crafting writs. I chose to go first to the mages guild in Vuhlkel Guard to start with provisioniong, et al. But now I can't seem to start a quest for the clothing, blacksmithing et al with the NPC at the fighters guild. Did I screw up?

In Daggerfall, we were directed to two different NPCs. You should be able to find an NPC for the smithing crafts, but this is just a guess on my part.

I know of at least two bugs with this new system. You may have found another. I was able to talk with both NPCs and completed all certifications in just a few minutes. I'm level 50 in all crafts. If it's not a bug, maybe it works differently if you're still leveling.

Once you speak to ONE of them, you can't just back out and go to the other one. You have to talk with the original NPC, asking them about what they can do for you, until the dialogue comes up that essentially allows you to say "I'd like you to send me to the other guy."

If you talk to one, back out of the convo, then go talk to the other one, they'll give you their spiel, but will NOT let you certify.

I think I chose the option that said in essence "I just want to speak to you." Now I wonder if totally screwed myself with this and cannot even pick up the smithing certs.

Unfortunately, I've certified myself on all my characters already (e.g. in at least one craft), so I can't attempt the initial conversations again. That said, I would still recommend going back to the first one you spoke with, then cycling through the conversation options, looking for ones like "who else can certify me?" and "I'd like you to send me to them," or "what other crafts can be certified" kinds of questions.

I got a message back from ESO support saying if it's not working today, report it as a bug. Wish me luck!!

I had to talk to them several times. It was not until I was sent to another Writ giver by the one I did not want the Writs from that he would give me the quest. In other words I had to be where to go by the Blacksmithing writ giver before the Enchanting writ giver would give me the writ.
