I have no idea what Class/build I want to play anymore. I currently have a V13 DK and a V12 NB both fairly well and original but I feel like I'm not enjoying them as much as I should.

Which makes me want to try out either a Sorcerer or Templar, and I'm trying to hold off on playing them because I'd rather go from levels 1-50 then 1-V14 (even though I'd get bonus points.)

I usually enjoy casters but I also love using the power of a 2h, Sorc and templar both seem to have those covered, But I just don't know what exactly would be more 'fun' or enjoyable.

for those who have played both classes to some extent, what do you prefer more?

Only a relatively new player myself but I was also trying to decide between these two recently.

Templars can put heals on a hotbar without needing a resto staff equipped. This lets them function as a backup healer no matter what weapons they're wielding. But if you want to play a healer role, because the resto staff passives apply to Templar heals, you're still almost forced to use one.

Sorcerers are better at ranged healing. Templars get the weakest bonuses of all classes for resto staff heals.

Both fun to play I've found but I ended up choosing sorc.

Another thing I like about the sorc is their lack of a cohesive class theme. Their 3 skill lines are thematically and visually distinct. So any weapon, guild, world skill or spell you want to use doesn't break a theme.

Depends on your playstyle and purpose for chosing between these two, really.
My main is vr14 sorc. Happy with it to execute damage, crowd control, spam shields, good survivability in both pvp and pve.

Won't go into depth on builds, armor and such or preferred skills because I think this is a matter of playstyle and experience, too. Classes can also grow
on you as you play along. Not a friend of fotm class/build.

Leveled a templar to some extent but it wasn't my cup of tea, class has "some" skills that I liked while not really liking many enough to keep playing this class.
Then again, I'm not healer oriented and if you are, templar should be your pick but you also have an NB already who would be quite good for healing as well.

I had more fun playing sorc than templar but that's just me.

Yea, I'm defiantly gonna level both when max level is 50. I also am considering holding off until champion system even comes out because its going to change literally everything and I might stick with my NB or DK.

If you want a challenge play Templar you need to use both bars consonantly together or you die no one or 2 skills you can spam. They not as weak as there were at start. I go by dk's easy mode, sorcs little more challenging, Nightblades very strong but bugged still so hard mode and templars extra hard mode.

Templar, played properly, is not "hard" mode. Matter of fact, you can pretty much heal your way through most encounters by healing yourself with Honor the Dead when below 50% health and using one skill to mitigate damage, apart from that.

The only place that this doesn't work is usually in dungeons while at an appropriate level, but you'd be hard pressed to find any other character that can solo tank their way through those at level, save for a few pretty broken DK builds that I'm not sure actually work anymore.
