Oddly enough I use to sing high praises of this game I even got 3 people to join. Not much I know but I recommended this game from the beta and onwards but now... I have little interested...

I put this down to me being a sore loser for the last 6 weeks but now I'm curious if the soft cap system works as much as I hoped it would.

Firstly when I chose my class/skills I had no general idea and was lead to believe I could do no wrong which has worked find from level 1 - Vet 10 but now I'm reaching end game trying to get a decent build for PvP and Craglorn I really understand now how awful my Bosmer.Templar build is.

I wanted to work with a bow but realising my templar classes offered much more damage I started working with that then noticing my magicka could not hold and I just kept being crushed. Then I moved on to a Magicka build and found I could not break free of DragonKnights CC spam which constantly destroyed me. I can not get away as Templars don't have a quick escape so we're screwed after escaping the CC for a mini second. No point sprinting as you've used 50% of your Stamina breaking free.. Eh. No point being a Vampire as the same DK will lava whip spam you or of course other Templars will ruin you.

I loved ESO enough that I have explored all areas, got plenty of titles, so much progress that changing character and rebuilding is such a kick in the privates I'm trying to put it off but this current build is so heart breakingly poor in PvP I have no desire any more to be fair.

This is of course my fault for making such a poor decision anyway.
I hope ZOS give a preview of race passives & class skills or a more descriptive description. Now I really want a way to get motivated back in ESO but now hearing they are removing soft caps which will ultimately DESTROY me. I don't know what to do.

I know this is a long shot but ZOS should consider a one off change of skills or some way to make this whole ''bad build'' avoidance last longer because yeah it was fine at the start but come end game I feel every build I try I'm hindered by either my class or my race and now I've ran out of gold and I've completed all the quests/dungeons/bosses etc... I've nothing left to do :/

Anyone have any advice for an unfortunate Bosmer Templar?

Its funny you mention Bosmer, because I was just talking with a friend the other day about what I feel is better in PvP based on traits alone, and I'm now of the opinion its Bosmer. Don't get me wrong, I like the Khajit and the better criticals are nice, but most people have very strong resistance to criticals out there. Meanwhile, the Bosmer has a very nice resistance to poison and disease, which are actually quite common forms of attack or secondary effect in pvp. The Stamina Regeneration while not huge is still beneficial so I wouldn't scoff at it. If you're playing the role of an archer, I really think Bosmer Templar isn't bad. I've pondered the concept as well since I already have plenty enough Nightblades as it is. This is assuming I were to make more characters.

While its isn't huge, magnum shot might be nice to have on one of your bars, just to get some breakaway speed from people. Reflective light additionally would be good to keep them off you. If you're on a keep firing down at enemies, you definitely want the alliance passive that boosts the range of your ranged attacks for your snipes and any aoe attacks that will hit them and their sieges. Personally, I'd also probably put Radiant Aura in the mix, so that I could keep firing stamina abilities even more.

While you can't cloak and escape, you can spit out heals, cleanses, and wear a nice Blazing Shield. Ranged attacks are definitely very useful in pvp, I wouldn't give up hope. You just don't want to be stuck fighting solo very much as a general rule, because its very easy for a team of people to run up and slaughter you. Take a look at some of the Set Gear as well. I'd particularly look at things that involve Weapon power if you want your bow attacks to hit harder. The real balance is in how you weave your stamina and magicka attacks. Try out a few different sets that are more stamina and magicka heavy, and then get acclimated to each style. I've been doing this myself to get a better sense of what I can do with my class.

Finally, we do know that spellcrafting is going to have invisibility based on what the Devs have said before. I wouldn't lose hope, there are still a lot of neat options for your Bosmer. If you like, message me in game some time.

They are going to be making so many wholesale changes to the skill lines that I am sure that they will allow free or cheap respecs along the way.
