There are probably some that have. But they would have most likely done so shortly after the game first launched. There were players who were expecting ESO to be Skyrim Co-op. I'm sure some of those players left.

I still drag out Skyrim on occasion. But I get lonely when I play it.

I still return to Skyrim quite often. Love the game, especially modding it. But I also return to the other 4 ES games occasionally as well.
However I still love ESO and plan on sticking around in it for a very long time to come!
Haha guess you could say I'm an ES junkie - can't get enough of both the single player games & online!

I greatly prefer Skyrim, so I understand people leaving ESO for Skyrim. While ESO has its perks, those perks don't make up for some untouchable quality missing from ESO for some people.

I'm glad some people love ESO, but it isn't for everyone. I think they wanted it to be for everyone, but it just isn't. No shame in preferring Skyrim if it's your cup of tea. No shame in preferring ESO, either.

But I understand the Skyrim preference better since it's my own.

I wanted to get "back" (using quotes as playing ESO and Skyrim is not mutually exclusive) but then I remembered I can't cast spells with a 2h in hands and got an instant turn off.

Skyrim was the best single player game ever IMO. But the whole time I played it I constantly dreamed of one day playing a TES MMO.

And I love ESO it still needs a lot of work but it's finally here and It's Already the Best mmorpg IMO ( n I played em all more or less ) but then I am a huge fan of TES.

Besides I got bored of single player games a long time ago, I always buy them and never really bother playing them.

I played Skyrim for over 1400 hours and loved it, and I'm in ESO since pre-launch.. well, when I go back to Skyrim, it feels empty now without all the real players. Although I'm a single player by nature, I miss this very much, as well as many other things. So I guess I'll stay ;-)

To be honest, I am feeling disenfranchised with the entire video game industry. I'm not really sure where I'll go next. I guess that's up to the big studios. 2016 seems a long time to wait for TESVI.

I am dabbling with some old Skyrim mod projects again but honestly, I just don't know. My motivation to participate in any aspect of this industry is at an all time low.

It feels like shooting intellectual property fish in a giant evil surveillance state barrel, and we're the fish. I'm sick of being reduced to a mere metric for some greedy suit's fad of the moment agenda.

Nah , dont get me wrong , if i had to pick one i would pick skyrim for sure , worlds better than ESO to me , but the sheer amount of effort i have to put into getting the mods then making them work ... it is no joke and takes a LOT of time.

So for now i will remain in ESO , but down the line i will surely jump back into skyrim once more.

I loved Skyrim. I don't know why exactly its different. obviously the single player thing, but it just felt so much more gritty, and violent. For me ESO does not compare in how it makes me feel. I was pretty infatuated with this for a month, a month and a half, but over time my infatuation for the game as waned. Don't get me wrong. I have not even gotten a single character to lv 50 yet and there is a LOT of things I could be doing in ESO. But for me at this moment in time it is missing that tangible quality that makes you stay, and play and play and play some more that any good MMO has. My big MMO love is actually LOTRO, and I stopped playing that for the most part for this but I have even been on that more than I have been on ESO the last month or 2. Because it has that tangible thing, it has charisma. ESO lacks charisma, and until it gets that, and the specific tangible feel to it that states you are doing something special, and epic and wonderful it will not make the splash the amount of effort and work that has gone into this game demands it to make. So what exactly do I mean by charisma? Well a start would be maybe some form of attire system? Maybe a much improved character design feature, with many more options?

    Just a point. Nothing more.

Why do people still keep comparing apples and pears. Just because both games are elder scroll games does not make them the same or similar. ESO is an MMORPG it could never work like skyrim simply due to balancing. Skyrim on the other hand you can do literally everything but you are all on your own. TBF I stopped playing Skyrim when I started one shotting everything at high levels even at increased difficulty.

Also I love running dungeons and communicating with others so I am currently enjoying an MMO more. But seriously people really should stop comparing a single player game with an MMO.... It just ends in disappointment simply because an MMO has to work differently to a single player game or the entire game and economy would be an entire mess.

I play both Skyrim and ESO and enjoy both - though I'm enjoying Skyrim a little more right now because I can mod it to be EXACTLY what I want, when I want. Thanks to mods, my vampire guy feels more like a vampire as I set the mod up to give him plenty of weaknesses as well as strengths - I like to have to use strategies to work around the weaknesses, it keeps my old brain sharp!

Oh, and NPC's recognise him as a vampire! :D

I still play several other games: Civ 5, Minecraft, Portal, etc.

Why pick one or the other? I play a few different games that each give me something. When I'm in the mood for Skyrim, then I will play for a couple of months. I also still play Lord of the Rings Online for friends and the content. If I play just one game I usually get bored, and I need the variety that playing different games offers.

    Champions system.....
At the moment you are pretty much just another NB DK Sorc or Temp. Same skills, same damage, same defense, same gear.
The touted "be who you want to be doesn't really exist".
All this changes with the champion system.
Now you get to be unique....and by being unique in a way no one else is...you become a one off...something special. Someone that brings themselves to the table and not just another one of those 4 classes.

Well of course <3 Morrowind <3 was the absolute best TES game ever. It was the game that introduced me to the series years ago. *nostalgia*

But even when I was playing Morrowind, I wished I could do so with friends. Yes, I have been waiting for a TES MMO for that long!

See that's a funny statement because it is only true until someone decides where the best place to put your champions points is.
