Khajiit limited?

I've been trying to find a good class combination involving the khajiit race and using heavy armor, but there was always one thing that I found getting in the way of it...

The only classes that make good use of heavy armor, are oddly those that use magicka for their skills...

Where are the warrior classes that use stamina as their skills? In the sense of min/maxing, there is only one class that Khajiit fall into, which is obviously Nightblade.

So in this event, I would like to ask the community, what should I do if I want to play a khajiit with heavy armor? Should I bite the bullet and go Dragon Knight despite there being better races suited for it, or is there some sort of physical damage niche somewhere in Templar?

It all depends on how much you are into min/maxing. If you play a class or race because you enjoy those features then you'll always enjoy those features. If you are playing to be as strong as possible then there will always be a specific race/ class and build that you must belong to or you'll get outpaced. That's just how games work.

I wish to play the race and class for the features, but getting as close to min/maxing as possible. I wasn't sure if templar or dragon knight would fill that roll.

Is this a tank build? or dps build? or pvp build? At the moment, heavy armor has no place in dps. It is ok in some pvp builds tho.

Also, there is no class that uses stamina skills. All class skills of each class use magicka.

J'Zargo thinks this one should wear heavy armor and spam sparks. This one thinks this is the true Khajiti battle tactics.

I have a Khajiit Templar, he's a good build, I feel he's stronger my Dunmer Dragonknight or my Altmer Sorceror. But the most important thing is that you have fun with it.

It wasnt so bad when the game got out.

The excuse people used to give is the stats cap.

Which meant that doesnt matter what race you got , you would hit the "max" on most stuff anyway , thus you could pick only considering fluff.

They increased the caps , which made this less relevant and now we walk towards removing the caps completely.

The moment they remove the caps , then it will be plain as day which class/race combo is the one you should go for what you want to do.

Personally im glad i never since the start listened to the fluff crowd and went with the strong combo. Probably would have made a bosmer otherwise :P.

Khajiit used to be one of the best race choices pre-launch because they had +15% damage to critical attacks. That made them awesome at both mage and melee builds. They changed it to 6% weapon crit chance, and it sort of made sense at the time when weapon crit % was super limited and hard to come by, but now there are tons of ways to get high weapon crit %, and a super majority of players running around in Cyrodil with impenetrable armor completely nullifying your crit chance.

They should give Khajiit racials another look, along with their lizard friends.

Khajit really is not as awesome as it looks on paper. It is still the highest dps race for melee builds, but that does come at quite a steep cost.

6% melee crit is about 2.5% damage on average. The stealth bonus is nice for ganking, but that's pretty much it, it won't be of any use in any real dps scenarios. Contrary to this, imperials bring +22% health effectively, assuming you max stamina and put the remaining points in health, and it works everywhere.

Khajit are unfortunately pretty limited to crit based builds - if you want to roll with a fighter in heavy armor - look at being an orc, redguard, nord, or imperial dependent on whether you favor durability through health and damage reduction, sustained damage through stamina or a mix of the both. Aim to stack you weapon damage as far beyond the soft cap as the game will possibly allow you. Use immovable brute to bring you + WD from heavy armor to +14% (that's more than you can get from medium- although equal to what you'd get with 2 heavy 5 medium and using immovable brute) Use momentum and a class skill to boost WD - stack every possible + WD item set that you can - use legendary jewlery enchants to + WD, go full divines armor and use the warrior stone.

Proceed to mash stampede whilst holding S and weaving light attacks - stampede has an infinite crit chance (lel impenetrable doesn't work on it) and immobilizes so you will always get to minimum cast range - push 2k DPS while being immune to cc and with heavily overcharged armor and spell resist. If you are a sorc - you'll also heal for several hundred health every single charge.

Meh, personally I consider race differences to be negligible. In the end you should go with a race you like, regardless of their race advantages. Orc rogue shouldn't be an issue if you like orcs, even though it's not suitable for an orc to really be a rogue.

I have a Heavy Armour Khajiit Templar, he works just fine.
