Around 400 magic to cast for 2.5 -2.9 secs,, IF you lucky you can cast it 6 times if you did not use up any magic.
My question is.
And then what do you do?
When you are still STUCK in combat and have to wait with no magic and probably no stamina from all the roll dodging?

✭✭I used to take siphoning strikes and a cheap stamina attack like Blood Craze to replenish magicka when I played the cloak spam build.
P2P offered you 'hell yeah!' moments. F2P offers you 'thank god its over' moments.0 -

✭✭If you play a magicka build, then you can spam cloak pretty easily.
If you play a stamina build, use siphoning strikes, and that will help replenish your magicka enough to use cloak regularly.
Now actually getting cloak to work is another matter... they may have fixed the dots breaking it, but it is even less useful with this patch. Can't use it in melee range combat or when anyone is firing projectiles at you, so yeah it is useless. I would say it works about 20% of the time in melee range combat, and works about 50% of the time in ranged combat(but for the 50% of the time it does work, you still take damage after you stealth).1 -

✭✭✭the ability has been broken since launch. its a shame, I know that this ability is one of the main reasons people picked the class to begin with. 95% of the NBs I see use it. hopefully they fix it... eventually.1 -

those people need to try it from a DW/bow perspective. Then they will see how broken the class is in that regard. Anyone can block steel weapons with their wooden sticks while casting strife over and over and over again. They need to get out a melee/ranged weapon, put some stamina into it, and they will see how weak the class is compared to the other three.4 -

The class is fine.
The whole concept of "going all-in" to one stat is foolish and stupid, actually. Balance your build and youll see a massive increase in how viable the nightblade is.
You might "think" youre getting the most out of something, but what youre really doing is gimping yourself somewhere else.
Never go medium + stam
