After some extensive testing I have confirmed that the NB skill incapacitating strike's damage scaling is bugged or the tooltip is completely wrong.
The tooltip states that as ultimate increases the skill's base damage increases up to 275%.
I tested this thoroughly and found that the skill starts at base 50 ult and scales to its maximum at roughly 200 ult. Damage caps out at 200 ult and is the same from 200-1,000.
Here's where things get weird though. At 600 base dmg, 275% should make for a 1650 base hit. The skill actually hits for roughly 1400-1500 on a crit, far below what the maximum damage should be. In fact, that 1400-1500 crit is the damage that results from from a base hit of roughly 875 (50% plus 10% nightblade passive). Oddly enough, 600 + 275 is 875. Imagine that.
TLDR:
What this means is, Incapacitating strike isn't scaling up to 275% at all. As ult rises between 50 and 200 a value of up to 275 flat damage is added to the tooltip damage. The highest hit you'll ever get out of incapacitating strike is [tooltip dmg + 275 x crit multiplier].
Without critting the highest it will ever hit is tooltip + 275.
Try it yourself and see. This is either a horribly wrong tooltip or someone put some bad math into the skill's scaling.
