ZOS....Do you actually care about crafting and the economy?

I read the crafting forums on a daily basis. As a community I would say that crafters are probably one of the least demanding groups within game, but provide an essential service to most players.

Crafters come here and give you valuable feedback on what is working....what is not working....and countless excellent suggestions and ideas on how the existing system could be improved and built upon.

We seem to be constantly overlooked when it comes to development and resource allocation. Your latest offering is not only disappointing but insulting.


Crafting & Economy
General •Fixed an issue where an ore node in the Vile Manse was respawning more often than intended.


Is this the best you can do in a whole week?

    Runes stack to 200 now. That has saved me a lot of precious inventory space.

    They've stated that they are working on a complete redesign of the crafting system and also looking at allowing food and drink to be used at the same time.

    Major system changes require more than a week to implement. I've had enough of the poorly implemented changes and am happy to wait a while if it works out in the end.

    I've not read anywhere that they are doing a complete redesign of the crafting system; rather it is the Provisioning which is being dinked with.

    May I ask your source please?

    This was my understanding too. Provisioning is being changed as their is currently no use for drinks.

    With alllll the issues facing ZOS along with their current planned new content, not thinking they are revamping the entire Crafting design anytime soon. Might be wrong though...people could always somehow include it with the solo-centric demands and it might be considered. ;)

    The link was posted directly above your post. I'm not sure if it could be considered a complete redesign, but changing all the mats, combining most of the recipes, and being able to stack food and drink seems pretty significant to me.

    I find the phrase "complete redesign" worrisome. Sometimes it really feels like we are racing to catchup before the next "complete redesign" kicks in.

    I love the game but keeping up with what ballpark we are playing on is a struggle.

    As for the crafting system, as much of the game, it is what it is. Some of it is ok, I have even gotten used to no AH and started using guild vendors, it's like impulse shopping when you find one unexpectedly.

    Well if/when player housing is established, the ability to have an alchemical garden, or a vineyard, wheat field etc to grow our own produce/reagents would be extremely convenient. There was an alchemy garden of a sort in the elder scrolls 4 when you became the Archmage of the mages guild, so the idea is not completely outside of the realms of possibility of the series?

    You went to "distraction via insult" pretty fast there. Is your point really so weak you have to resort to this to keep the discussion alive?

    If it is a complete waste to repeat them, how about linking them?
    That should not be any effort and would be a lot more constructive then saying "Crafting: bad, Programmers: bad, everyone who disagrees: Fanboi".

    You lose all credibility in an argument the second you jump to insults.
    You make a thread and address it to ZOS, but you fail to provide any insight or suggestions. Seems legit.

    When I call a plumber, I explain what the problem is. I don't just call and say "Hey Plumber, fix my toilet!"

    Another two weeks go by...but since the last update...you didn't quite manage to fix the next broken node....so crafting/economy has no improvements worth listing.

    I rest my case. :(
