Did they implement ultimate weapon damage scaling?

I remember hearing that they were making ultimates scale with the largest of your weapon power/stamina or spell power/magica in 1.3. I didn't see it in the patch notes so has it been delayed?

pilotfish✭✭✭I was wondering about this too. Mostly because I am curious to know if an ultimate's damage fueled by stamina / weapon power will have a higher cap than one fueled by magicka / spell power in light of the raising of weapon power and lowering of spell power caps.1 -

Yes, Ultimate damage DO scale with Weapon damage now if it is higher then spell damage. It is also scale with STAMINA instead of Magicka if your Weapon damage are higher then spell damage.
However, there now wierd issue with that.
Unless you wear really alot of sets which give alot of spell damage, your weapon damage will always be higher then spell damage -.-

Weapon damage is worth roughly half as much as spell power in terms of how much you get on gear and how much it contributes to damage. I hope that they took this into account when they choose what your ultimate scales with.1 -

Spell power and spell damage are two different things. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the difference is that spell power does not affect weapon abilities.Brandoid - Templar - Ebonheart Pack0 -
Enlighten me please, i did read this already, here and on reddit and everyone said it can now scales with weapon dmg if its higher then my spell dmg.
Im a fresh vr12 my previous experience was vr9 to vr12.
I used staff, stacked magicka, and spell damage but the highest i got was around 110-120 maybe. For ulti i do use bat swarm, and on the Skill menu it showed me 300-340 ish damage / sec.
Now as Vr12 and last day of free respec i threw my built away and checked what happens if i go with all Stamina+DW. The skills are making nice dmg i cant complain, but on the character sheet my Ulti shows even more dmg/sec, somewhere around 400. I was like wohoo but when i first casted it its dmg was around 120!!!!!!
So am i doing or understanding something this wrong??1
