Radiant magelight, is it actually useful?

Nearby allies take 50% less damage from sneak attacks. Ok, but any sneaker within 12m range of a magelight person should be revealed thus preventing that sneak attack right?

I suppose it really depends on how many meters "Nearby" is. Anyone know?

It allows you to see them not reveal them. They are still stealthed/invisible. They don't pop out of stealth until they are forced out.

But when I get 'revealed' by magelight when I am stealthed, My stealth eye goes from closed to wide open, and I end up not getting a sneak attack even tho I am right behind the person.

I don't really PvP much, but is getting sneak attacked while in a group of people a big concern? It just seems ironic to me, that the only time this skill gets close to beeing on the verge of useful is when you're least likely to get sneak attacked.
Even if there was a place for it, it's so insanely situational i can't see anyone in their right mind choosing this over getting 20% spell crit let alone take up not 1, but 2 slots out of a very limited actionbar.

Seriously, worst skill ever.

You should have stopped there

Cyrodil is largely about stealth, including whole groups or even groups of groups. For every lone hunter out there, there are multiple groups of three to 20, also stealthed, looking for something to kill.

So, you're giving up 10% crit (which is 5% DPS for most builds) in exchange for a huge damage mitigator for your whole group when ambushed. For pure PvP players, that's not an easy call either way.

Actualy, revealing of Magelight seems broken for atleast 3 weeks so far.
It doesnt reveal anything even if you stand right infront of it.

I loved using radiant magelight, for a Whole 10 minutes, then it broke. Its probably been broken since launch. If it wasnt broken, Id love to give this spell a spot on my bar.
