Spell crafting

dauntaithompsonub17_ESO
Sup guys,

thedondon92 here and I'm just wondering am I the only person truly excited about this implementation of power ?!? ESO is branching out further and further from the typical cookie cutter MMO as promised. Saying all this still leaves me to my only question .. "Roughly what patch does Zenimax believe that the spell crafting will be attached and implemented in-game". PS: The Quakecon presentation has provided much needed faith with supporting visual facts showing all of tamriel that the satisfaction of it occupants is the main focus importance, feels great to be appreciated.

I'm excited about it also. The system has allot of potential:
    • Increased skill and build diversity.
    • New element of exploration.
    • More content will keep existing players engaged and perhaps lure back old subscribers.
But it does raise two important questions.
    • Will Spell Crafting make class skills obsolete after 1-50? If so, do we need to have them at all?
    • Spell Crafting is an other magicka focused game system. How do you balance stamina builds against it?
Obviously, to early to know how Spell Crafting will effect the game. But it's fun to speculate anyway.

    wary to be honest;
same reason i would be wary in regards to the justice system announcement if i was a PvPer.. the theory, distant and generalised, can always be made to appear attractive, it is the actual practice that makes or breaks it.
    Spellcrafting sounds great. Sounds.

    for example,
if spellmaking ends up being even akin to enchanting in terms of time needed vs benefit gained..
if high level/vX ranks are back to farming low zones all day long..

so for now? Just wary :)

Lots of potential on either side of the scale. I think many of us are justifiably skeptical. Either way, I'm excited to be a part of ESO's evolution.

Sounds pretty awesome, but im wary at the same time as to not get overly dissapointed once it hits live. Because that happens alot in the mmo world.

In regards to class skills, personally I would like to see them moved into the Magic skill trees, restoration, alteration, illusion etc etc. I dont really see why theres a point in keeping the classes.

Instead just for show, let People choose what they want to Call their class just like you could in oblivion. Pure freedom.

Stamina abilities needs something like this aswell Down the line, With the fighters guild. Call them techniques or something, but yes they also need a system like this or this ES game might aswell be called "Elder Spellcasters Online"

    PC EU
    PvP only
