On skill resets and current research

I did some searching on the forums but couldn't find an answer. I need to do a skill reset; however, I currently have some long research chains going (8th trait in clothing and woodworking).

My question is as follows: if I do a skill reset, does that mess with the current things I'm researching? For example, I have 3, 8 trait clothing discoveries going at the moment. On a skill reset, you no longer have the points spent in the ability to research 3 traits at a time. Will this reset my current researches forcing me to start over on at least two of them?

    When you respect and then reassign the points into research you will pick up where you left off in the research. I have done it several times now.

    Thank you for the reply. Given how long the 8th trait takes and the fact I have several ongoing and staggered, it is very helpful.
