is soulstrike completely unblockable?

i block but it seemingly mitigates no damage at all and i just slow myself down further. can anyone confirm?

I second this question. In my experience soulstrike is a death sentence. Hopefully someone will come in with some insights about how to live through it.

Soulstrike/soul assault is purgable, can be interrupted (venom arrow, crushing shock, or bash), and invisibility breaks it (nightblade invis, invis potions). From what I've noticed blocking doesn't mitigate any of the damage.

Dodge rolling away from the caster works, but it eats up your stamina.

if you cast defensive posture per tick of soul strike you can in effect kill the caster with it.

Well this is a good answer but it doesn't really help my Stam DK (noob build I know I know, but I'm stubborn), especially since I usually get hit with it from a keep wall, so I can't bash or shield charge. I guess I should slot Stonefist.

As a stamina DK all you have to do is use invasion or venom arrow to stop soul assault. If getting hit from walls is the problem you're having though, then you're doing it so wrong. Since chains has been nerfed there's no reason for you to be that close to the walls as a non caster. Not to mention dragons blood can heal through soul assault easy.

if its casted at u from walls just roll dodge back to get out of range.

I would say about half the time I try to use this on people in the last week or so it just instantly stops. I'm not sure what they're using to stop it, but it's making me consider using other ultimates.
