Bow: snipe?

who else feels the snipe is not good as is since the game started?
It is circumstantial for one
The dmg is good if we stealth and hit our target from behind, its waist of 2 sec other then that.

What do you think if snipe would be instant cast with 2 sec gcod?
If so: imo it would be useful in Pve as well, as of now its not worth to slot it in Pve

right now is almost useless when attacking a keep
a little better if you are in the keep and defending.

Most of the time you target is out of reach by the time it would go off even with the 1 sec cast time reduction, because they nerfed the distance so basically they did nuttin with it.
I'm interested what is your opinion about this matter

    It's good skill. It shouldn't be main dps skill or used everywhere for everything. It's great opener and imo it should stay as it is now.

    It's a lot better than it was, you can actually use it as your main dps ability now, any ranged world bosses go down pretty nicely with it.

    Then I asking you why the hell I would slot it? its taking away a spot from an other useful skill aint it? back to square one its circumstantial
    and its brakes stealth as well so either the definition is not good or the skill it self
    You saying its a great opener imo it should be an execute its a "Snipe"

    Define Snipe: its a long range weapon attack taking place from a remote location where enemy forces can't (should not see you).
    So what say you?

    Well they reduced the cast time to 2sec not bad the same time they reduced the max range = no change.
    they reduced the min range which is somewhat good but its should be a Snipe
    I defined what is snipe so what do you say about it?

    Yeah I have the poison/reduced healing morph and use it as an opener in PvE, and really only good in mass PvP staying behind and plunking people who get close to the front line (or, as been stated before, keep defense).

    Not sure if the morph I took is that useful compared to the other one... I figured an extra poison is good for PvE but unsure how the reduced healing even affects PvP much at all..

    IMO, it either needs to be a skill that truly allows you to snipe (see common definition), combined with a reasonable (subjective I know) amount of constraints so that it's not OP.

    For example/proposed, increase the short range capability (min of 30 meters), increase the long range to very long (50-60 meters), then allow it when fully leveled/ranked to be massively powerful, occasionally one-hit proc like silver bolts... Then ensure a cool down period to again constrain it so that it's not OP.

    Real and effective snipers take enemy's out with one shot 50 cal or better. But they too have a forced cool down period acquiring the target, ranging it and in most cases a spotter to feed the stats to the sniper so they can adjust the scope.

    Yes, snipe does have a use and it's on my alt bar for an opener... But let's not kid ourselves... It's NOT a snipe skill, just a hard-hitting bow shot.
