As a Dominion player I did not encounter this quest until VR4. I was thrilled to find a vampire quest line only to be severely disappointed as the vampires kept telling me I couldn't possibly understand their suffering ... but of course I could because I am vampire as well. I also had an issue with the fact that Majorn is described as an ancient vampire while his son isn't. Shouldn't his son who would have been born before Majorn became a vampire also be ancient?
Never mind the fact that they couldn't go out during the day or they would burn meanwhile there were hordes of low powered vampires running around outside.
Then when Majorn threatens me and says he could crush me, not really as I slaughtered him and his followers. I could forgive this is the story was more consistent in other areas.
Almost every time I get excited about a quest line I end up disappointed as the story either breaks lore or ignores other quests or situations that have already happened. It's seems obvious this quest line was written before they added Veteran Ranks and weren't expecting anyone to be a vampire when they do the quest. But it's these missing details that constantly let me down throughout the game.
I normally play the quests in any MMO I play as that is what I enjoy the most but here, they are simply a grind I have to get past so I can effectively PvP.
Ah well, back to grinding and clicking through the quest text as fast as possible on my way to VR10.
