Proposal: Craftable Robe Skirt

To complement the addition of Light Armor Jacks, I propose an alternate version of the Light Armor Belt that, when worn, resembles the skirt of a robe. It doesn't strictly have to be Light Armor, but given the nature of it, it seems the most fitting.

While it's great that we have the option to craft our own shirts, I'm disappointed that our only options below the waist are pants unless we craft a full-body robe. The archetypal Battlemage look - a heavy cuirass and robes - is impossible in the current system, which is just a shame.

I figure the belt slot works best for this, since it currently doesn't have any massive visual impact and a fairly minor armor impact, but Breeches would probably work just fine as well.

The idea of a "Skirt" as another option in the same way the jerkin is another option for the chest piece instead of a robe means the skirt would not replace the belt, but the pants... but the idea of a Jerkin and Skirt would be a robe, with the option that the top and bottom may not match... the reason for the Jerkin was to allow a light armor wearing character to not wear a dress, but shirt and pants.
Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most...

Robes already cover the pants, so there's no reason to think that the skirt of a robe needs to be in the pants slot. I think the belt slot is a better option because it's less of an armor impact for those who'd want to wear mostly heavy, and opens the door to styles with open fronts or sides that would show the leg armor underneath.

Also, the idea is specifically to allow mismatching of tops and bottoms that the current robe option doesn't allow. Either a light shirt and robe bottom with different styles, or jacks and cuirasses with robe bottoms.

Yes please. Think Morrowind ordinators. That was an awesome look.
I agree that it makes sense for it to replace pants. You can't see them, and your privates would breath better.

I was always kind of amazed at how good the Ordinators and the Redoran Guards looked in their long skirts. They didn't look like they were wearing dresses at all which the male players in ESO mostly do though not, necessarily the NPCs. I like the option of a skirt, especially an open skirt and I, too, think the belt slot is the best since I would want the armor of the pants even if they didn't show.

For all I growled about the paucity of decent pants for women in Oblivion and Skyrim I prefer to have options for mixing and matching my way, preferably without adding bigger boobs and butt than I built.

Another thread mentioned that the waist slot does not receive a full glyph enchant, while the legs slot does. So if a skirt will use the waist slot, Z should make sure it can receive a full glyph enchant.

It's for, as I mentioned already, mixing and matching robe tops/bottoms, or wearing things like a heavy cuirass with a robe bottom (the traditional "Battlemage" look).
