Cyrodiil armor prices

Aren't they a little steep? 1 million AP for one piece, no chance of buying at those prices.

By the time I've bought seige equipment and forward camps there's no way of affording those.

I pvp a lot and still only have 750k. I agree that the prices are stupid. You can get all the covenant stuff for free in the mail though as a reward while killing players. I'm not sure if there is anything different that can be bought though. And the fact that some of it is random pieces at those prices is beyond absurd.

Well there are ring and necklace sets to. Would love to know how many full sets have been sold, or if indeed anyone here has brought any.

With 1.3 they will cost significantly less.

maybe this is one of the reasons there are AP farmers? :/ just throwing out ideas.

If you actually looked at what the vendors are selling, you would have noticed that they sell things you do not recieve through the mailed rewards. The prices are indeed steep, but some of the armor sets on sale are pretty good and will only get better after the 1.3 patch.

Nope, since those sets are god awful (look at thse traits) and some are not even working (shield proc from the light armor pact\covenant\dominion set doesnt absorb anything for example).

Hence the reason I said I'm not sure. I hadnt gone through everything. If it the sets like twin sisters or whatever its called I still dont think those are anything close to worth it either. I havent seen a set in game worth that time-sink.

none of the sets are particularly good (the heavy one is decent but who wears heavy these days?)

From my experience most crafted set pieces have more coveted stats.(except for the weapon/ jewelry pvp sets)

Time-sink? I call it RvR and the only endgame in TESO (trials are too short and too easy). But yes, those sets are not worth spending alliance points, hence all guildies (including myself) are just hoarding AP in a faint hope that someday there will be something worth spending it on.

I really hope these are better thought out and useful (and functional, lol) than the current selection.

That's great to hear, but what about gear prices? IMO the pieces seem to be about 10 times over priced. I remember every time I "quit" and then came back to WoW it was great how I could spend a full weekend playing Battlegrounds non-stop and be able to afford a full set of decent gear.

In ESO I've played something like 300+ hours in Cyrodiil since launch and never saved up more than 300k points. I feel like even if I would have been 'that guy' and never bought any siege/forward camps, etc. I would have only been able to afford one or possibly two covenant's gear pieces by this point. The prices are truly absurd.

That being said, I've gotten a full set of Covenant's gear just from rewards from the worthy and buying the missing pieces from other players for like 2-5k gold per piece then upgrading them with mats.

Not much fun in terms of rewards when you can't even 'gear up' reasonably.
