That one would be pretty stupid. ^

Must be why Dota 2 pro players that win this year get a million dollars per player, You know because their game isn't competitive because encounters aren't based on random/luck.

How does bringing up dota2 help your argument for world pvp? If anything the success of these moba games shows you that people want small scale style pvp not massive zerg v zerg trash.

Pretty much... the top competitive games atm are SC2, Dota2/LoL, CS:GO and ETC.

I understand that DAOC fanboys want their nostalgia to come back, but that is a thing of the past and ESO shouldn't be punished because you are craving the nostalgia you got back in DAOC over a decade ago.

I understand that WoW fanboys want their nostalgia to come back, but that is a thing of the past and ESO shouldn't be punished because you are craving the nostalgia you got back in WoW.

Players that want their WoW nostalgia go play Vanilla wow Private servers or Wildstar.

Why can't DAOC fanboys just go play DAOC?

DAoC fanboys arent the ones asking for things to be added that take away from the core PvP aspects of the game.

How about trying to think differently, and come up with ideas that will satisfy a larger audience, rather than just do it because you liked it in WoW.(which had no main objective PvP in place to take away from)

They are toxic to the growth of this game since they don't want anything not DAOC like to be added....

Completely untrue. And there are MANY that never played DAoC that do not want arenas, and there are ex-DAoC players that want Arenas. This is hardly an issue that is being resisted by ex-DAoC players exclusively.

I have never played DaoC, I do not want arenas or battlegrounds added.

What I do want is for the player base to mature and develop better levels and gear and a superior understanding of strategy and tactics so that we can all play intelligently together.

I personally believe the arenas would damage it severely.

And to top this off I would ask if you could please post your comments in one of the existing threads about arenas, we do not need more threads.

It probably has less to do with nostalgia and more to do with the fact that after a decade DAOC is still believed by most to have had the best pvp in an mmorpg.

this game was built in daoc style, and will have arenas in some form.

For the future of ESO I hope you're right.

For the short term future I hope you are wrong.

There are many more things that need to be addressed instead of placating to the pvp crowd what has less than a 10min attention span.

    "Competitive Gaming"

It's politically correct... just like "Custodial Engineering"

    Ok heres my solution...

since they didnt leave room for agramon in cyrodiil... why not just add a cave under the imperial city, with tunnels leading down into it from somewhere near the bridges. Simple, easy to get to, no reason for anyone else to go there. sounds like agramon to me.

Only problem... they said imperial city will have an entry requirement. And only 1 faction has access at a time.

Unless you are saying access it though cyrodiil? I dunno that a cave is the best place for group vs group play though.

What about something similar to doppels in daoc. I know it was a hot topic in daoc... but in eso the points are practically worthless so it might be ok lol.

Or I atleast like the idea of cyrodiil quests .. maybe 4-8 player quests sending you to specific areas kinda away from the busy areas. Just something like that to motivate more smaller groups. Not sure what the reward.. maybe pretty high amount of gold.

I think in order to inspire smaller group fights the NPC PvP leaders aka Zimmeron should announce small random events every now that then to hold a point on the map, whether its marked on top of NPCs, or just a hill with a good view.
Then player have to hold that area for a specific amount of time. (calculated similar to capturing a keep/resource)
If players succeed in doing so the entire alliance gets a small buff for a small amount of time.
Such as 'Objective secured' - +5% movement speed for 10 minutes.

I think you are mixing us up with the PvE crowd that demands constant new content.

GW2,SWTOR and ETC are MMO's that are kept alive with its PVP and RP community not the horrible PvE community that will rage if they aren't catered quickly enough.
