Ancient Elf Weapons and general Epic-grade Styles - Lacking in Diversity?

After running Veteran Fungal Grotto earlier today with my Guildmates, my attention was drawn to the quest NPC's weapon.

Clearly, it was Ancient Elf, but it was different in many ways - a more intricate hilt, broader blade and more details, as well as a more elaborate pommel. (pictured below)

And this got me thinking, all other motifs have many, many different versions of each weapon or armor piece according to level and quality, and after checking every level version of the Ancient Elf 1H Sword, not a single one looks like the one pictured above, yet the weapon pictured is clearly Ancient Elf.

The purpose of this thread is therefore to bring this detail to the attention of the developers, to ultimately achieve two goals.

#1 - The diversification of the Epic-grade Racial Motif weapons to bring them up to the standard of the Superior-grade Racial Motif weapons to give us that great range of appearances and colours we're used to with the other styles. As it stands Ancient Elf Iron looks for all intents and purposes identical to Quicksilver Ancient Elf.

#2 - (Personal preference) make it so that the higher level (and quality) versions of Ancient Elf weapons do not look as battered and rough as they do now (at least with ones improved to Epic or above). I understand the idea that they're Ancient Elf-make and therefore salvaged, but reforging an ancient weapon is a simple task for an experienced blacksmith such as myself, and it would be great to have that reflected aesthetically.

TL;DR

Ancient Elf and other Epic motifs lacking in diversity when it comes to weapons in both colour and appearance, give us the diversity we're used to with common motifs please. c:

If I ever see any of the rare Motifs I may be able to agree with you, but after 3 months I've yet to see any of them.

I've got Primal and Ancient Elf myself, and that's surprising since I see them advertised in chat a lot, they've dropped down in price to between 20-30k now so they're not quite as heavy-hitting a purchase anymore.

If it would help my argument here I'd happily go in and make each weapon once in every material tier to prove my point that they all look identical, I was just counting on a lot of players having seen it for themselves.

I agree that this is a problem. I made my alt a set of lvl 24 heavy in Ancient elf and found him looking shinier than a vet character. While its great for impressing noobies in low level zones, but I would prefer to see improvement in the armor over levels just as the other motifs. It'd be awesome if lvl 8 armor looked like it was pulled out of some rabble in ruins.

Glad to see I'm not the only one!

I agree, that's the core of what I'm trying to do here, to get the same standard of variety as we have with the other motifs
    Hopefully someone takes notice.
