How is a sorc supposed to kill a dk vampire?

So what is the secret method for a sorcerer to kill a dk vampire? The only decent sorcerer spell (without using an ultimate) for doing damage is crystal fragments and that takes so long to cast they have plenty of time to reflect it back at you. Using the other spells are also easy to reflect back and they do so little damage. The Sorc is stunned and frozen instantly with no chance to do anything. BTW sorcerers have very little stamina so rolling out of their talons is not going to happen. They can just stand there taking their time or kill the sorcerer in one second. Kill them with range LOL. They reflect it back or just close the distance no matter how great in 2 seconds and kill the sorcerer in 2 seconds. I actually got 5 stamina so I could use silver shards and what a joke. They laugh at the silver shards as they kill the sorcerer. Sorcerers who use heavy armor run out of magic too fast to be effective. This is getting old fast.

I'd assume you're suposed to bolt escape them to death, after all, bolt escape was so OP it was wiping entire zergs. That's why it was nerfed iirc.

Seriously though, you just have to be prepared for a game of resource management, I use 2 restore staffs - harness magica, conjured ward, spam curse and mages fury at them. Hit them with streak whenever you see them drop block, then shards when they're down. As soon as you can get them down with shards, pop curse and soul assault. It's not a sure kill but you'll force them to spam dragons blood and waste a bunch of resources. Just don't soul assault a DK that isn't stunned/knocked down, if they're competent they'll invasion + talon you.

The main difference is you can't throw all your magica into trying to burst them down, you have to wear them down. And try to keep enough magica up to bolt 2-3 times if things go bad.

Honestly, NBs with mark target scare me more, there's no escaping them unless you have purge and a full bar of magica. They can't bolt after you, but they'll direct their group sorcs after you.

It's not easy but there are ways to at least make it a closer fight.

Use ball of lightning to absorb his crushing shock attacks. Go sword and board. Bolt to melee and spam your volatile pet with crit surge up. Do all this with your block always up. If he tries to use talons, use purge and crit pot as you continue to spam your pet for tons of heals and damage mitigation. Have negate ready in case he uses his banner.

Will you kill a semi competent dk with this? No. But you will make it closer against their scale spam.

Use this as an alternative bar while ZOS figures out how to fix scales.

Edit: And I hate being "that" guy, don't wear heavy armor as a sorc. Sorry to say it.

A defence build with Dampen magic and Barrier would probably help. Watch for reflective scales. Get them on their back be it through a sneaky shard proc or fire rune and unleash with a spell power pot, mages guild ability then shards which would be hopefully instant. If i know they are going to melee rush me I try to cast fire runes a few steps ahead of my kiteing path most tend to hesitate before going to hit you on it. detect pots also for when they try to mist away.

Haha, that's what I always do on sorc/Templar. I lure the DK to my group. In the end I'm out of both stamina and magicka, but usually reach the safe herd in time and he goes splat. If you BE as a sorc, than 10/10 DK's will hunt you all the way to faction gate anyway, they overcommit and cant let stuff go.

To beat a good DK 1v1, you need a good counter build and blah blah l2p. But I can't be arsed running around with a specific build to counter one single class, it's not realistic in group PvP.
