Keep Difficulty Rating - Where Do You Dread Sieging?

Thought I'd post a bit of a lighter subject, as I've had this discussion a few times lately. What do you feel is the hardest keep to take against a determined force on the map? Conversely, what's the hardest keep to defend? Let's give them a 1-10 rating, with 10 being the hardest nail to crack and 1 being the easiest. 5-6 should be an "average" rating.

For example:

Fort Ash - 9 - It overlooks 2/3rds of its resources (instead of vice versa), has very tight confines within the walls with lots of obstructions. It's hard to get the inner postern down quickly due to this. It's also hard to rally at the resources if the defenders push you out of the keep due to fact that they're ranging down on you (especially bad on lumbermill side). Combined with being a home keep for DC and inner ring keep, the guards are particularly nasty.

Kingscrest Keep - 3 - It might as well not have an outer wall. Enemy forces just need to flip the lumbermill and they give themselves a very easily entrenched position to knock that western wall down from. Ease of access to it from Dragonclaw by DC also makes it flip with relative ease.

My personal ratings --

Fort Ash: 9
Castle Alessia: 8
Chalman Keep: 7
Castle Roebeck: 7
Fort Aleswell: 6
Blue Road Keep: 6
Fort Warden: 6
Fort Rayles: 6
Farragut Keep: 6
Castle Black Boot: 6
Castle Bloodmayne: 6
Castle Faregyl: 6
Arrius Keep: 5 (dat mine)
Fort Glademist: 5 (dat mine)
Drakelowe Keep: 4 (so far...)
Fort Dragonclaw: 4
Castle Brindle: 4
Kingscrest Keep: 3

Pretty much. Alessia, Chalman, or Ash with their home emperor defending it are nightmares to breach and take.

Agreed. Top 3 for me are Chalman, Alessia, and Ash in that order. I'm looking at it from an AD perspective.

Chalman...that keep is just the bane......Having mountains surounding half of the thing makes for a few strategic places to seige into. I always find that keep extremely difficult to take.

Alessia has multiple choke points including the Sejanus Bridge and the huge hill to the west of the keep. Defending this one is always fun (again AD side) but not so much fun to try to take.

Ash is a pain due to similar things with Alessia. Multiple Choke points, especially the gate between Ash and Nikel.

Attacking Chalman and Drakelowe gives me claustrophobia, and attacking Drakelowe's farm while it's defended is not an easy thing to do. Both get 9s from me.

Faregyl is one of the easier ones, there's a lot of flat area and good seige points. I'd give it a 4.

Roebeck is fun to defend and attack, not because of the terrain, but because it almost always draws in long, epic battles. I've been in three different Roebeck battles that have all lasted four hours or more. Roebeck: 6
    Character: Aena d'Eltorn
    Faction: Aldmeri Dominion
    Campaign: Thornblade

For EP, our bane is Alessia, but only due to people's incompetance. EP ALWAYS tries to siege from the north, which is damn near impossible due to the terrain forcing us to set up siege right under the walls... yet even now, after months, people still siege north rather than take a few steps to the left or right. It's damn embarassing.

Best part is drilling a hole through the NW or SW walls, then screaming at the horde of puglings to move their butts and get off the Northern face and to switch to the open wall.

    Nope. Ain't gonna happen.

For the defenders it is :p

My favorite keeps to defend is Arrius/Farragut/Kingscrest. I love using that tunnel under the mountains that connects all 3, it's never defended for some reason and is a great way to avoid gank squads.

    Rly.
The best part is when you hear the people getting ganked above you, just a few feet away, yet you're safe.
OR, you screw with the gankers: make noise! Play a lute, use /shout or power attacks. They can hear you... but have no idea where you are :D
But there are occasionally gankers in it, just non that I've run into.

Do AD and DC not have tunnels connecting their 3 gate keeps?

Not like it's a secret, DC and AD do occasionally camp it, just not very often since no one ever uses it. I've never seen anyone, EP, DC or AD inside when I do use it.

It's a tunnel, like a minning tunnel, completely underground, 3 entrances in the moutainside. It's big, too, it connects all the EP gate keeps.

I'm surprised no one ever uses it. You can run from Arrius to Farragut to Kingcrest in a few minutes, underground the entire time. Much better than going around the mountains, just go through them.

id say keeps like kingscrest are pretty hard to defend. if you take kingscrest farm, you can use siege from it, and the defenders cant get any siege weapons in range right back, cause the farm is at a higher elevation. Im sure there are other keeps like that though. now attacking... all keeps are equal difficulty in attacking for me, because one of the following scenarios ALWAYS happens:
    A. we break down the door/wall(s) then all of our allies charge in like mindless idiots right into the oil, and they all die, and we fail and have to fall back
    B. we end up having a 40 minute siege, with one of the sides eventually overcoming the other thru long and glorious battle. And it being one of the best times in PvP one can have.
in all seriousness though, i hate attacking keeps that are near the mountains. they seem to take longer to get to, and it seems easier for enemy gank squads to lye in wait for people going to it.
