So, you know the story, enter Cyrodiil, 50 FPS, chillin, go to join a fight (trying to depose dawnbreaker emperor)
Upon arrival at Chalman keep, drop immediately to 1 FPS, and stay there for the duration of a 20 minute battle.
Guild calls it after this due to lag, sleep, frustration, etc.
So I respawn at Eastern Elswyr and go to get a coffee. I come back to the computer five minutes later and take this screenshot. Note that five minutes have passed since I was anywhere near a fight.
So I head over to the wayshrine (which takes me almost 2 minutes, seriously, to walk to the wayshrine, and leave. I go to my farmin grounds in Coldharbor)
Upon arrival, I am greeted with this
39 FPS. Notbad.jpg, but why was I still at 1 before a map transition?
Ill tell you why, ZOS, because that map transition wiped my VRAM and reset my renders. Which is what you need to fix, because in PvP or any other large group engagement, all animations, effects, particles, and other VFX are remaining in VRAM and then not being purged every few server ticks like they should be.
It should not require a full map transfer to fix something that should be hard coded into your client.
Instead of bandaids and hotfixes, get to the fundamentals.
