Alright guiyse, it's time to get serious. So I find the PvP (when it works and bugs notwithstanding) overall is amazingly fun and a solid foundation to build on. One thing that bugs me to tears is the fact the rewards for PvP are pretty underwhelming. I have spent somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 hours in Cyrodiil, and haven't even come CLOSE to having 1 million points saved up to buy a SINGLE piece of Covenant's gear.
So my primary question is why are these pieces so expensive, and who in their right mind would buy them when you can just buy the green versions in chat from someone (or get lucky on the "Rewards for the worthy") for 5k gold or so and then enchant/improve them up in quality?
Secondly, why are the same points that are used to fund the war effort the same points required for any sort of personal reward? A player strongly committed to the war effort will be spending those points on siege, camps, anti-siege etc. Why give players a reason to withhold points? That's the reason you have pugs where 1 in 5 have siege to drop. Splitting the points between rewards and siege/repair funding would be a welcome addition.
Finally, one of the primary selling points of ESO was that you could "play how you wanted." I don't understand why I have to go questing to get enough gold to keep my Soul Shard supply stocked. Why can't I save up PvP reward points and buy things like Motifs, Mounts, and/or Crafting Items?
For players like me, being able to straight PvP and be able to pursue all these rewards and goals would be a dream come true.
Thoughts anyone?
