I'm not going to waste your time with a long explanation on the matter, I'm simply interested to see how many players are in favour of or are against the idea of dueling being added to ESO.

A simple "yes" and "no" option would have sufficed. Giving further explanation merely encourages bias, as the "no" option is obviously an outrageous choice.
What if a person who would have voted "no" had a different explanation such as they'd rather ZOS focus their resources and funding on other quality-of-life features for the game? Why would a person vote "no" on that basis if he or she was not outright opposed to dueling as a function in game?
I would like to see hand-to-hand added as a skill line and overworld PvP added to Veteran areas; but neither of those make me opposed to seeing dueling added as a feature.

If you don't like it, don't use it. Can't be that hard. Same goes with arena's, if you don't like it, then don't do it. All it can do is balance out classes more and perhaps the game will focus more on single-target abilities rather than AoE.

I don't actually presuppose they are trolls.
When the topic of dueling has come up in the past, some individuals have been genuinely outright against the idea. That is part of why I made the "no" option so distinct.
Justifications provided were along the lines of not wanting to be spammed with duel requests, or even being upset by people dueling all over the place and being obnoxious or immersion breaking.

We have this massive PVP already, so they can put dueling function with ease. I think the only thing holding off the dueling function is that they are still balancing the classes, but it might be better to put dueling now for balancing classes purposes either, right? And just an idea from me, dueling can be a great way to balance the economy, a way to recycle some golds. Here is what i had in mind, they can put dueling arenas for every major town (just like the bank), then 2 person who wants to duel should pay a small amount (most likely people will ignore this amount just to enjoy the feeling of having a 1v1 fight whether with friends or unfriendly players, & to look at the effectiveness of their builds in battle, etc). After paying for that amount they will enter an instance for the 2 of them only, maybe quite big enough to use bolt escape and other skills that may require distance. Of course there are many things to consider once 2 players are in duel instance:
1. How long can they stay there, what if they decided to just test skills and not kill each other?
2. How will they put the players in the instance, are they facing each other or in a random area in the instance that they cant see each other, coz NB may want to sneak while DK would want a face to face, mano-a-mano fight.
3. Healers wouldnt want to duel with NB for sure, but surely they want a 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4 duels where they can be effective.
I hope that someday, after taking all consequences in consideration, Zenimax will put this function. I will play this function a lot, not to mention the whole bunch of things that we can do on other functions.Sheliza "The Unkillable"

Yes, I would like to see a Duel function added and I would use it a lot.After spending some time in Cyrodiil, I think dueling should be allowed. Although I would rather see special place for it. Something like little arena in Lineage II.
It is very hard to test new sets of skills in PvP if you keep dieing.
To clarify I do not want classic arena. Just the one like was in Lineage II. It's purpose was only to test pvp or to fight against your friends with no loss of XP.
Yes Linege II was punishing for death. Repairs are nothing compared to XP loss you grinded for hours :-).

Just because you lack the ability to understand why others do something , does not mean they are trolls.
In the end , im against arenas like the are in WoW , they mess up the balance far too much , if ESO ever add arenas like WoW , i will be out faster than you can say "Exit". This game balance is already bad now.
Now , if they add something more along the lines of GW2 , where the balance/items... all related to the arenas is closed on a different side and thus does not affect me at all , then sure , i would not be against it.
