Rally jumping the gun here. We have no idea how this will actually be implemented. considering we are getting a whole new area of craglorn there is ZERO evidence that new gear drops won't also come with new crafting sets making all of these concerns moot.

Even if your concerns are valid and the objectively best gear in the game will be dropped/looted only, we will have 2-4 weeks on the PTS to put in formal feedback. At this point all feedback is way too premature to have any significance.

Crafting Sets as Quest Rewards
Now so everyone likes a challenge. Lets say there was a quest that will let you craft a certain set bounce or style because you were able too "complete" the quest. Now these quests would be HARD they would be designed for solo play, like a series of bosses that only spawn at certain times and are designed too be a challenge. These "bosses" or enemies you would be fighting would be harder then World Bosses but designed for solo only. It would be made so only you could go and fight. I like a lot of what you said, I would also like to see more improvements to crafting aside from just adding another 8 trait station in the next content released. but as for the quote im commenting on:
almost all of the 8 trait sets are only accessable from completing questlines. I think 75% +. the only way to access them is not only a quest but a whole epic questline with their own SKILLTREE. they are also solo only
with theives guild and brotherhood officially announced, there is no reason not to expect appropriate skill lines and questline-completion crafting stations.
im not sure how you missed this but it is already how the game works(aside from the difficulty of guild lines not being that hard)
