Random experience gain when not doing anything ...

This is an odd one. I'm using the FTC AddOn to monitor some of my stats and last night i noticed that while in Cyrodiil i would randomly get experience gains while not doing anything.
I was neither grouped nor did i have any active missions (besides the kill 20 players daily) nor did i discover or kill anything.
Yet, while walking in the wild or even just standing idle inside a keep we own, every once in a while i would see a XP gain message pop up and the XP bar would flash. The values were low, always somewhere in the 150 range.
I know my faction was fighting at other keeps at the time, but again, i was not grouped or part of that effort. So either you still gain a small amount of XP from the rest of your faction or you're rewarded for just being there.
Anyone else noticed this?

cjmarsh725b14_ESO✭✭✭✭For the AP gain at least it will add up the small amounts you receive that are under a certain threshold and save them up for later to display all at once in a larger number so it doesn't spam you too much. I haven't looked at the code for xp, but it may be the same.0

But at least twice i also saw the XP bar flash, which isn't controlled by the AddOn.

maholi✭✭✭You get XP whenever you get AP. You can get AP while standing idle in a keep if there are fights nearby. Like a defense bonus.0

I have gotten kill 20 players kill credit from tagging some one at far distant keep then dieing and releasing to the AD home base. so maby you taged some one or something previously and some one else came along and killed it/them and you got a bit of XP/APSaving you or sending you since 2001"The light is strong and man is weak and the world walks in-between" R. ✭✭✭✭✭I suppose it's possible that someone was fighting nearby even while i was in a keep that wasn't under attack.
I know you get kill credit if you tag an enemy player and someone else kills them, but i always thought there was a pretty short cooldown for the tagging.
Plus, i didn't get any player kill credits when the XP message popped up.
I'll keep an eye on this and check if i also get AP points at the same time. I didn't think about that at the time.
