Thoughts about dual-equipped shields?

I think it would be nice to have a build available that allows you to dual-equip shields. You could be a supertank, the armor alone is great, but imagine the bash-spam!

It's also closer to an unarmed skill, which I would also like to see. This game is young, they can still change a lot of things. I hold out hope for some new class or skill lines in the future.

As for unarmed then having a monk type could be fun with this combat system but the NB kinda covers that type of in your face style.

If this game gets an unarmed class, I beg that they don't call it monk. It just doesn't fit the theme. I would rather a "Brawler" class.

Um, there's a very good reason why warriors never did this in the real world (or at least not more than once). Have you ever tried to use 2 shields at once? Yeah, it's super ineffective.

Actually I kind of like it. Maybe with a smashing cymbal attack to stun opponents, or maybe a wax-on wax-off buff

It works as well as throwing fire, or summoning scamps ;D

No, I'm the Ur-Quan who likes forming a hierarchy of battle thralls. Although rabbit is delicious, so I guess I do like rabbits.

Currently you can wear a single shield on your back and punch things to death... You look like a turtle.

I been thinking about making an alt that is a NB, using nothing but shadowy dagger looking class abilities and sporting the single shield.

*Edited: btw, my alt now has a low lvl Flint sheild... I am a war painted Ninja Turtle... XD*

Dual-shield? Eh. I don't know about a class based on it. Maybe just make it possible from dual-wielding? For the people that really want it?

Now unarmed. Yes please. Not necessarily "monk" but definitely an unarmed class.
