PvP broken and abused without balance

Was talking about how some servers were being dominated by one alliance and wondering what could be done when I got this reply.

Seems the system for not only the Emperor, but population is being exploited.

Just get your guild to reroll and get to 10 and join a low pop server and dominate.
Unfortunately, there are several "power guilds" who moved to a low population campaign with the sole intent to dominate that campaign with little to no resistance, and then systematically get a large number of their members the Emperor status by rotating their point lead and using alts that role separate faction to de-throne them.

We encountered a power guild tonight on one of the low pop campaigns that is dominated by AD, with no competition, with the intent to help take back some keeps.

Results were that AD sent a full compliment of VR 10's to defend and a large number of them were touting the "former emperor" titles, all from the same guild.

The system has been abused by these power / elitist guilds which seem to plague any MMO today. There is very little care given and so for many of these power guilds, keeping total dominance on a campaign and then using alts to flip the inner keeps so they can log back in and take it back to make their next guild member Emperor, is just appalling.

We have already seen similar tactics on Auriels Bow in which guilds are rolling an enemy faction DK that they use to "chain pull" up their main faction friends to bypass the outer walls, and then take keeps in a few short minutes before anyone has warning that the keep is under attack.

There will always be exploiters and those hell bent on destroying any enjoyable PvP experience for the rest of the community. Real shame ZOS won't weed these accounts out and send them on their way.

Not really an exploit.. just people choosing to dominate a low pop campaign.

Does not sound like much fun but hay, if they want to be know for only winning battles when they have ten times the numbers then I guess that's what they are aiming for.

I think it is safe to say this campaign rotation should be taken with a grain of salt. Hopefully the community can stay together and weather the storm. These types of players that act in this fashion will grow bored and move on...eventually.

Well then , you must not get what happening. They are playing against themselves. Do you really think playing against yourself is a legitimate way to play PvP? Really?

Its not really just low population shards. There are several campaigns where a large "Power" guild or two join together, dominate as AD one week, rotate Emps, then use alts on the same shard different faction (I thought I remember hearing this was not supposed to be possible) to take the map as Daggerfell, then go back to AD and recap and rotate Emp.

This weekend GM's were in Riften dealing with bots and were asked about this. What was interesting is one GM said if it was seen to report it as an exploit. Then another GM sent tells to a guildmate claiming it was a legit war tactic. Seems even the GM's are confused over this issue so would be nice to get some kind of official word. As things are now, if you are not part of one of these power guilds or in the alliance favored by these power guilds there is no use even bothering doing PvP since the system is so obviously either broken or abused.

I know several people that have already quit over this issue, and in light of the conversations with the GM's in Riften...several others have voiced concerns or intend to unsub because if it is a legit "war tactic" they want nothing to do with it or the game.

Now I know pretty much any system is going to be abused, but on several of the shards it is way out of whack and becoming a detriment due to the length of the campaigns. Players are getting locked into abused / broken campaigns for 3 months (well 37 days left now) and when some of the shards are as "broken" as many of them are even getting the points to change can be more effort than its worth.

MegaPVE server for all your characters regardless of faction, rather than distinct separate servers (like DAoC). Also ease of jumping into PvP, just get to level 10, exasperate the problem.

"a legit war tactic"?? that's a shame ZOS cares so little. im starting to lose faith. I like this game, but if the developers care so little that half their game is beign abused, I will stop playing, no matter how much a love it. Ill give them some more time, if I don't see them improving PvP, im done
