    Oh wait...

Seriuosly though, you can't afford a few bucks a month it sounds you have bigger issues.

Get over it ppl for goodness' sake....

You will literally spend more going out to see a 90 min movie by yourself than you do for one month's sub.

If $15 a month is gonna break you, you shouldn't be looking to spend ANY money outside the necessities(food, rent, gas, and lights). Not a judgement, a fact.

And just to stay on topic-No, the sub fee is fine.

nope, keep it where it is. i gladly will pay $15 for the next 5+ years in order to:

    1) drastically cut down on the trolls/hater/bots/spammers/LoLplayers/8yr olds
    2) get access to ALL content, rather than get 10% for free and forced to pay $2000 to unlock everything in the game.

Take any F2P game. LoL or Neverwinter. To get full-access to the full game (all content), which is NOT more content than you get for say a $60 full release, costs infinitely more. 100% all skins and champs in LoL, or every "extra" in Neverwinter is literally thousands of dollars, and not more 'value' or more difficult for the developer than a normal full release game like Bioshock for example, you'd just have to pay thousands of dollars more for it. Or, you can pay $15 a month for the full game.

F2P is by far, the worst model for the consumer. Take another example of a full-release game.

Let's say 'Skyrim' was F2P. You get the first 5 levels of the game for free!!! Yay! Now for the rest of the game, everything passed level 5, you have to pay $500.

vs. just paying effing $60 for the whole game. Don't charge me more for the same content.

I will loyally pay and play until the day this goes f2p. No way would I stick around for that.

    Slightly off topic:

Your analogies reminded me why i swore off Square-Enix and by association FFXI which i played since before NA release.

The 'Pay Wall' that SE put at the end of FFXIII-2. You don't sell a customer a game, a rpg at that, and then when they get to the end hold out your hand and say, "For an additional fee, you can see how the story ends!"

That underhanded business decision cost them a life-time customer.

    Back on topic:

    Good analogies.

It's fine if a game is worth 15.

Elder Scrolls, in its current state, is not worth 15.

They'll have to work for it. Game is in a bit of a pickle.

Spiced, salted vinegar, disoriented vegetables thrown into a stew. A hapless developer who finds itself on the menu.

As this person pointed out, the question is not one that can be answered by someone else. Do you think it is worth 15 bucks a month? I do so I'm paying it. Some feel it isn't. That is why you cant please all the people all the time. No one agrees.

It's the same price as going to see a movie, or having a pizza delivered. If $15 is that much of a hurdle for you, then you've got far bigger concerns than MMO's, friend.

have no problem paying for a game i feel is worth it, but i canceled my sub and am just playing out my free month, doubt i will make it through that. First time in my life i actually feel ripped off for buying a game, i keep "trying to play to atleast get my purchases moneys worth

For all the people wanting the game to go f2p so they can play it, it def is going to, soon, but please dont wait for that day.. it will just be a giant disappointment to you as well.

Now i know there's going to be a lot flaming on this but lets face the face the forum is swimming with about 100 people who actually like the game defending it, while the reviews are.. all terrible, just as my experience and so many others has been.

Sorry im in a bad mood about this game right now but i just finished a quest that had its own little island zone.. made me watch about 7 different groups of people talking about something i really didn't care to hear, travel around the island for about 10minutes on foot and talk to 5-6 different people.. and kill 3-4 mobs. this quest gave me 2% of a level worth of experience.

Its not a video game its an interactive movie, what replay value does it have? what value does it have period for people that don't want to sit there bored to death by story you CANNOT skip?

fyi future content apparently is going to be just adding more levels and story as well, theres no gear worth upgrading because there system of gear makes it so upgrades dont actually make you much stronger at all and they have pretty much stated thats the way they want it? So theres no real character progression, which is what keeps ppl playing games like these (your character has all the skills it needs at level 45 and increasing levels past that only allows you to equip higher level gear that does barely anything for you)

I guess they have tried something completely new with this game but i dont get what they are thinking

Actually I won't. I'll spend half of it at most.

But I'm fine with the sub price, so whatever. I'm not entirely sure if this game is worth $15 in its current state, but hopefully it will get better soon(ish).

Still, of course I'd love to see a cheaper sub. Ideally, they'd pay me to play. If only the world worked like this...

On the whole, mmos make more money on microtransactions than subs anyway. However, that being said, only certain kinds of players will pay to play. Free to play tends to draw the entitlement crowd to a game. I prefer subs over mts any day. It's pure cheese that they put out the imperial edition, forcing players to pay to play an entire race when we have to pay subs. That kind of bs only flies in f2p situations. Bad move Zenimax. Sorry, I believe in calling them as I see them.

Agreed. Subscription games tend to draw a more mature crowd overall. Working people who have the disposable income to be able to do it. Once a game goes F2P the games populations do go up a lot, but the quality of player goes down.

I'd rather they raised the subscription actually, to get those who are serious about the game and really enjoy it. I'd pay $25 a month, personally rather than see another cursed micro-transaction game.

My bad, i guess i should have specified that i didn't mean a matinee. And i guess i should have also included that most people would be getting some kind of snack and a drink. And let's not forget the gas or bus-fare to get to the theater, there and back.

Let's see, did i forget anything else to specify out that you won't be doing when you go out to see your matinee Rosveen?

Pay for more than one month at a time = cheaper sub fee. And ESO is 100% in line with the vast majority of all other MMO's for it's monthly sub fee.

Lol at the comment about going F2P, it amazes me that people don't get that F2P isn't a bad thing (if done right) and makes the company FAR more money than sub base, especially if it's both like Rift. Sure P2W sucks and I would leave ESO if it ended up that way, but F2P is no worries at all.

Eating in the cinema *shudders* Even if I wanted to, hey, I'm a poor student, I have better things to spend my money on than their overpriced snacks. For example ESO. :D

Anyway, yes, I get your point. It'd probably be easier if I didn't have to google matinee - I still don't quite get it though, if you did not mean a matinee, what did you mean and what's the difference? Help a confused non-native.
