In Game Mail Gold Spam

I don't know about you, but this is getting way out of control!



10 in less than 8 hours.

And a nice try at scaring the player into NOT reporting them by insinuating that you have bought something.

Burn all these PARASITES!

Any work being done to get rid of this mail infestation?

I am getting bombarded with them as well. What I wonder is this. How are they able to do these mass ingame mailings? Is it yet another hack?

I report them all! I am so temped to reply back to say "You been reported to the GM, enjoy your BAN!" Sometimes, I do send those messages to bots as well.

over the last week ive been reporting these mail gold spammers approx 2-4 every hour seems like nothing is being done.

Just report them in game. If everyone puts in a bit of effort you will see less spam.

I'm tempted to reply back to them too, but my message would have a lot to do with their traumatic castration if i find them in real life, and after that pleasant part, it would go downhill into some nastiness.....

I report them using the in game interface, however I leave the offending mail in my mailbox. This has the effect of giving to insight into when your issue was handled as the mail will just not be there one day as they worked the ticket took whatever action they take against the offending account and part of the process is to remove the offending mail from my inbox.

Oh hey, good advice. I usually delete the ones in mine right after reporting it.

Do you talk in /zone?

Because that's where they're getting your name.

It's getting to the point where I'm about to turn the damned channel off and I PREFER it being on, even when it's full of gold spam, political nonsense and "your mom" jokes because that scrolling chat box is what reminds me this is a multiplayer game.

And it's often amusing.

Well, I am getting mails in my normal e-mail as well which somehow they manage to get. Its been unchecked, but still they got it. I can now change this.

This is going to far if you ask me.

I report them but remove the mail after that. I assume by checking the 'include screenshot' there is enough evidence (it includes a screenshot of the content of the mail then).

Just be careful about how many reports you send in, because for some reason they like to ban the reporters.......go figure.

I don't talk in /zone ever and I get them as well. So I dunno where they get mine from unless the bot just randomly clicks on a passing player. I only chat to guildies, group mates or use whispers.

One gold seller even whispered me its spam. I reported it then whispered back with 'get lost, scum'. I doubt it affected them, but I found it fun at the time!

There is some big cheese pulling the strings and Zen can't catch him yet. Every day I receive exactly the same three messages and report the authors. But these accounts are rotating, so the authors are different every day.

How are they getting my email address ? The only thing I can think of is I can't change how it shows up on these forums!,,,, what is Zeni doing about this? Something has to change. I'm being harassed by gold selling leeches!

ive noticed that bots will sit dead in cities so they can bombard anyone who talk in zone chat with these ridiculous mails...couldn't resist teabagging one dead bot. had to be done. XD. they also just sit and watch zone chat..ik cuz only when i post in zone chat regardless of what zone...i get 3-4 mails from them within an hour.

It is annoying I get at least 6 a day. I immediately report then add the name to my ignore list.

Does it help at all to include a screenshot of the mail message, or does tech support check the message from a reported user if I leave the message in my inbox?

I am beginning to think that maybe ZOS does not ban the accounts because they are paying customers. That they just lock out the character in question.
