The state of the game is broken with all these bots. Zenimax you need to increase resource spawn rates by 5 times until you implement a cheat detection system in your game.
As a solo/duo player I am screwed by bots on every corner, dry resource landscape all over. Yet again invisible teleporter hackers all over bouncing from node to node.

DO SOMETHING!!!!!!
logging in a GM on some random blue moon for 15 mins is not doing squat!

yeah bump it by 5, why not 10 or maybe 15 so the bots can mine more..

Bots would mine less because they would not sell any of it to players anymore.

Why not just randomize(within limits) where resources spawn.

I honestly don't see that happening; normal players mostly don't go out of their way to harvest resources exclusively. This leads to usually not having enough resources to craft whatever you want. I know I'm always short on honing stones for instance. While bots could mine whole *&($loads of ore, refine it all and get a lot of honing stones from them.

Now I'm sure there are actual players out there that do go out of their way to harvest more than enough resources, but I'd wager that the majority don't

No, the best way to deal with it is make bots irrelevant to crafters, do what GW2 and FFXIV do (any maybe others) and have resources nodes per-player like bags/crates/cupboards are now.

I am one of the players that harvest a significant amount and I can attest to the truth of this. The difference in population between the nodes near the quest hubs (harvested often) and those near the edges of the map (harvested rarely) is dramatic.

I visited 20 nodes, from my harvestmap, yesterday around a city (Stormhold) and 20 located in an area far from anything in a corner of Shadowfen. 2 of the 20 nodes near Stormhold were available, 19 out of the 20 were available in other places.

I am certain that if more players were harvesting widely then this proportion would have been more similar.

Of course now that I can collect materials so efficiently, I have no desire to see lots of other players change their habits ;) .
