Respec cost needs to be changed !!

There are several reasons to change the respec mechanic in my opinion.
You cant tell what the skill will morph into untill you have spent a point.
Some tooltips are terrible at telling what the skill or morph will actually do.
There is no way to tell how the skill will scale with stats later making it more or less viable.
Some skills are downright broken (according to forum, i dont theorycraft much myself so I cant tell for sure).
When respecing, it is not fun to place these points again. Sooo many points, and most will still be there after the respec. -Hmm did I have this last time?
You may or may not find an entire skilltree based on a certain attribute to be severly impaired but your optimism and faith in the developers and "play the way you like" told you to go that route anyway making you a gimp with a weapon.

Suggestion: Assign each skilltree to different hard to find masters of their trade lore wise. Give them a questline (prayers to relevant (d)aedra et.c.) to reset your skills and a hefty price relevant to the amount of points they reset as today.

The questline thing is optional due to development time, the rest should already be in place.

I dont mind it beeing expensive or hard to reset, just dont do it all at once!!!

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

I would like the ability to change between morphs at any time for 1 extra skill point then they can increase the cost 100 times .

    Definitely agree with this.
You shouldn't even be able to respec, but being able to change the morphs is a must, especially since half of them are bugged at the moment.

It's definitely too expensive for someone who wants to change 2, 3 skills. Maybe if they made the respec cost dependent on the number of skills you intend to change.

Again allowing that takes away from allow the choices themselves to be meaningful......what your asking for is.......well lets put it this way once the ability levels up you might as well be allowed to just choose from the 2 "morph" choices which one you want on your hotbar.

Which choices are the important ones? Or more important?
Right now, we are basically punished for making the wrong choice while leveling. While we didn't know how the choice we are making will impact our gaming. Do we really have to level one char to max to see how certain skills or their morphs work and than make an alt just so we could not make the same mistakes?
I am not proposing making respec free, but it needs to change as it's really ridiculous with such prices. Currently it only works for those that have a very good knowledge and understanding of their class and skills.

I don't understand how you don't know how your choice impacts your game there is a description of the ability and exactly what is added all you have to do is read it.

I know exactly how my morph choice is going to impact my gameplay easily.

Don't be ridiculous. How can you know how something will impact your gaming if that something is completely new to you?
You can understand the principle of it, but not how exactly it will affect your gameplay. I hope I didn't offend you, but your claim is just too naive.

agreed. Costs should be relatively trivial. You can respec in GW2 for very little and the sky continues to not fall in.

If this and other pointless gold sinks like repair were removed the market for gold sellers would be cut off at the knees.

They need a respec of morphs only option. Very annoying to chose a morph to then realise it is either broken or doesn't work the way the description makes it sound.

I don't want to change my skill point spend, just change a couple of morphs that make me feel like I've been jilted!!

The simple truth of the matter is that some morphs give false or incomplete information.

A few examples of this would be:

    - Overload ultimate from Sorceror Storm Calling tree. Can be morphed into Energy Overload and Power Overload. Power Overload tooltip states it increases range and radius of heavy attacks. In reality this is not all it does, as the damage also increases per level which is not the case for Energy Overload. Deceiving tooltips.

    - Grand Healing from the Restoration Staff weapon tree. Can be morphed into Illustrious Healing and Healing Springs. The tooltip for Illustrious Healing states that the duration will be increased from 3 seconds to 4 seconds. Once again, this is not all it does. The healing per tick also increases per level, which is not the case for Healing Springs, where the mana gained only increases per level. Once again, deceiving tooltips.

There are probably more examples of morphs in the game like these, but these were the ones I knew off the top of my head. This is the real problem that makes a lot of players respec when, if provided with accurate information, they probably wouldn't have made this mistake.

For some reason people like paying 30k to swap one morph. I do not know why. I'm assuming they have some serious issues. I personally do not enjoy spending a fifth of my gold on a respec because I suddenly don't like my destro staff morph after the next patch.

But... they like keeping things artificially difficult. They made this game for the hardcore Elder Scroll fans, not MMO fans.
