Beast-Race Souls

This spoiler refers to the end of the Main Story. Read at your own risk.
Fighting through Cold Harbour against one of the most powerful Daedric Princes and his forces, this one's mind remained on the singular goal of reuniting with this one's soul, Ka'za's very essence.

This one stopped the Planemeld, gained favor of the Deadric Prince Meridia and defeated Molag Bal's forces but still this one's soul was imprisoned by the Deadric Prince himself. Ka'za was angry and desired his soul to be reunited with his body. Being imbued with the power of the Amulet of King's, Ka'za charged on Molag Bal's citadel, laid waste to his guards and mighty Titans and fought the Deadric Prince himself with the blessing of Akatosh.

Slicing Molag Bal in half, Ka'za had finally defeated the Deadric Prince and his evil schemes. Meridia pulled this one from Couldharbour to her realm where she had captured this one's soul. Eagerly, Ka'za ran up to his soul to find a humanoid, flat-faced soul staring back at this one.

What did Molag Bal do to Ka'zapaw's soul? It's disfigured, flat faced, tailless. This one is a proud Khajiit and was disappointed to see his soul disfigured.

A minor issue but I still would like to see the soul that you reunite with at the end of the main quests to resemble your character at least a little. Argonians and Khajiiti have human skeletons most specifically when the Argonian Skeleton at the Coldharbour ship graveyard and souls. Hopefully these animations will be changed to be more appropriate for the Khajiit and Argonians at some point. Even if the soul was like a floating wisp would have been better for the Khajiit and Argonians.

Hopefully these remakes in animations for these unique races are at least on the list for future development.

It's all a clever and subtle way of showing the player that souls are a made up, abstract concept thought up by mortals to stave off the fear of our own deaths and that what's truly important are our own minds, for we need no spirit or arbitrary ghost-self to function.

    ....

Or the developers were just really lazy as with the skeletons and male honorifics for female characters.

Well a soul is largely an aetherial/astrial entity so it doesn't necessarily have a set physical form. Also its been separated from you and your memories for a long enough time that it likely lost sense of who you/it were and devolved to a generic template.

Plus being consumed by a deadric prince probably is a rather jarring experience, especially when while separated it from the body while its body is still functioning and thinking.

    Male honorifics? Example please.

Daedric Princes are genderless and military/knighthood titles are dependent on culture.

In some places everyone in a position of power gets "yes, sir" regardless of gender.

Yeah had the same reaction with my character. You got that same issue and awkward moment when you play as an Argonian and do the follow up quest in Coldharbour with Dead Eye. An Argonian skeleton comes to speak with you but it happens to be a generic skeleton model.

That is exactly why I said a wisp-like form would be better than a very humanoid appearing soul.
