There is a key part of your comment that I wish I could get more people to understand.

When you stop "grinding" and just start "playing" .. the game becomes amazing, bugs/issues and all.

Stop grinding people, its not a grinding game, you are playing the worst possible experience in the game over and over when you grind.

Do exactly what this person did, go do things not because you must, but because you can.

And sometimes its just lovely to sit on your battlefield after it is phased into end mode. And watch upon the things you have accomplished. I did that after I finally was able to Kill Medryndil in Deshaan. I only wished they would have gone a step farther and make that area the real merchant stop that it is.

Other than that fishing is a good pastime. Or just watching the Sky. Especially in Skyrim. With the neat Auroras. And as a former poster pointed out. Sometimes you have great moments with the random bypasser. If you play the lute or just sit by the shore. And I take a lot of Screenies Same as I do in real life. I rarely leave my home without a camera.

I was rushing a bit in the beginning to get thru the levels I had done during all the beta weekends. Then the speed kinda stayed in the questing as I was leveling with my husband and we were just annihilating everything on our way. Then came VR grind and more laid back attitude towards the leveling. I also made an alt in the same alliance that I also started crafting with. Been doing something on her that I didn't do on my main: just walk from quest to quest (no horsey business) and gather mats along the way. Been quite nice but I am still pretty quest/destination driven so that's the best I can personally achieve in the 'taking it slow' department :P

And since I have never played any of the ES single player games, I dunno if I could call my moment an 'ES Moment', but here goes anyways, cos the scenery was just damn fine (I do happen to have a thing for cherry blossom which I assume might be in the pic).

The Truth Often Hurts. That's Why So Many Choose To Ignore It. In your case the fact that ESO has glaring problems that aren't getting fixed and on top of that the game is controlled by exploiters and bots ruining it for legit players.

ZOS doesn't like people telling their paying customers to leave/move on as you put it. It takes $$$ out of their pockets. Hiding you head in the sand does nothing but make that person blind to what's going on around them.

For me "exploring" is not just watching good designed places. Guldwars2 had those places too, where you could climb high up and take a look on the beautiful designed landscapes.

BUT:
For me the reason to explore is to find hidden treasures, riddles,
maybe a hidden special boss It must not be somewhere high
above, it can be a hidden tunnel behind a plant or a little switch
somewhere on a wall...

but there is nothing like this in ESO.

In this point the game differs not much from many other
mmos on the market... looking back sadly to great games
like Ultima Online and Offline Games like Final Fantasy 7.

I have so many screen shots (not on me, I'm on my work pc) that I have taken. Some of the pics are just awesome looking...others/most don't come out as nice or capture the moment I saw properly.

Cheers for the pics and the "moment", the game really is pretty.

I had my jaw drop moment once I installed SweetFx and used a preset I found online (forgot the dudes name). The settings really sharpened up the environment overall for me .....darkened the darks while making the brights a more realistic representation.

i just went to riften.

it was really stupid, because im level 6. i got it into my head that i got bitten by a werewolf. i was trying to fish and it said you cant fish in werewolf mode so i was like "hmm."

so i had a look about werewolfs and it said you have to go to riften to get a quest. so.... i set off to riften.

it was pretty tricky, but i managed to avoid most of the mobs and do a little corpse jumping. i eventually got there and realised i probably didnt get bitten after all. doh.

then i found out you need to be about level 30+ to do the werewolf quest.

o dear :P oh well,it was kind of fun and i got to see a few things :P

I am not one to "Stop and enjoy the scenery" I have 2 characters that are my craftsman, a banker, my cook (alch/prov/ench) and then you have my 4 other toons. One for each "class". What I have noticed, is you want to rush the firs 15-25 levels to get away from the bots and spammers. once you have done that. You stop to enjoy the game for what it has to offer. Personally, I love the free achievment for getting eaten alive by the slaughter fish for swimming out to far lol.

I stopped speed clicking cause I was thinking wtf is a village doing here. It's secluded but won't keep them away from others, given that monstrous cave entrance.

Then Oooohhh.. Forbidden love with a twilight twist.. Definitely a tougher moral decision than Valaste.. I did what's best for the world, letting them live happily ever after so neither will look for me as a replacement. The villagers need to go out and see the world anyways. Werewolves aren't a problem IMO, they are just sad NPCs with a broken skill line.

First time I explored Cyrodiil was like a homecoming. Oblivion was the first ES game I played, so revisiting places like Vahtacen and seeing the White Gold tower off in the distance were tremendous stop-and-stare moments for me.

When I hit Daggerfall. Whilst walking through the lovely scenery of High Rock. When I was teleported to Cheesemonger's Hollow to be greeted with "Oh how quaint. A mortal." By Haskill, and many other moments have made up my ES moments in this game.

This reminded me so much of Morrowind. I would say it resembles the Foyadas you explore on Vvardenfell... You even could imagine the Ghost Gate appear farther up the road.
