VR point increase?

Today, while out in pvp land I noticed I seemed to be getting a lot more veteran points than normal. Each kill I was getting 80 to 95 vet points and when I turned in my daily kill 20 newbie quest I received 5400 vet points instead of 1100.
Did zos boost the output in pvp? I looked at the release notes but didn't see anything.

Zubba✭✭✭It varies. But I usually get around 1500 for a each solo kill.Add PvP loot drops for some risk/reward in this game.
