Maybe the NB should bring a group too, haha. On a more serious note, I die pretty fast to a zerg on my DK. Can only block and heal so much before you have nothing left. Nightblades are getting a lot of their problems fixed in the 1.1 patch, so the point is kind of moot.

Everyone else blows up on contact. You get to block and heal until your resources are gone.

Saying a DK has 7-10 times the sustainability of normal classes, sadly is no exaggeration.

Well? NightBlade is primarly a rogue class. Relying on stealth, sneak attacks, high single target damage, evasive manouvers etc.
Do you expect it to tank a zerg? Come on.

Not sure what your point is. Looks like you are just typing random stuff to me.
In any case, no. As a single DK you can't tank a zerg. But given the fact that DK is specifically a class that shines in survivability you have obviously more room to... survive. On the other hand DK has no escapes and low mobility. While the NB plays basically on an opposite philosphy.

@JosephChip It's called humor. This forum could use more of it. Chillax, your DK isn't going to get hit by the nerf bat over this post.

    Uh? What humor? Where?
I swear some people just type randomly on their keyboards.

Also I am all in favour of balancing classes. There are a few problems with DKs that need to be addressed. Only because I play DK doesn't mean I am biased. Maybe it's a concept not many on these forums are familiar with.

I don't agree with that. Sorcerers have Bolt Escape and Nightblades can use Shadow Cloak to get to and hide behind line of sight. You have far better tools for avoiding and outwitting a zerg, so it makes sense that you would die a lot faster if they manage to catch you.

Any class can tank a zerg if he/she is set up for it only difference is for how many seconds lol NB are possibly 2nd tankiest class rivaling Templar for it. If built for tank/sustain NB can pop veil of blades stand in it while blocking and use "focused attacks","leeching strikes" dark cloak/refreshing shadows to keep their stamina up while blocking and using swallow soul to heal a bit and as a vamp can also drain for hp/stam
I have to give a credit to AD pack of Vampires with VR10 Night Mistress leading them (seriously VR10 10 days after the official release?).

Night Mistress II - v12 Night Blade AD

VR10 NB Tank, max spell resistance, health magicka, armor stamina regen, with food buffs max stam also...

a NB can use veil of blades to stand up against many, until a DK drops a standard on your veil... instead of dying in 2 secs, u now die in 4. DK heals = instant, NB Heals = 80-90 a tic for a 3000+ HP character... (BTW this is less healing than a light attack or about 2% a second, if u add in leeching strike u can get to about 6% a sec when it ticks 3 out of 10 swings) for 20% DPS loss. Dark cloak is useless for this incounter, AOE breaks... gives no immunities and costs about 20% of magicka...

My favorite thing in PVP is watching NB vanish while targeted... pop back out 3 sec later, get smashed, do it again once more, then die in place... lol... by far the silliest tactic I see... I guess they just want it to work...

The smart ones chain it back to back, and don't leave invisibility till they are out of magicka. Throw in a potion and you can do pretty well if you have some distance on them.

The "if you have some distance on them" is the key part there, isn't it?

If they are already on you then you aren't going to get away trying to chain cloak. It only works if you have some distance and there is a convenient LoS object nearby.

Well, yeah, that was my point. If they are already on you, then you are probably going to die regardless of what class or build you are running. DKs have more survivability in a fight, this is true, but NBs are considerably better when it comes to choosing said fights.

Hmmm... I thought it only work on active DOTs... not the incoming ones... I.E. if u use it while DOT, then u lose the DOT and stealth, but as sone as they cast annother aoe your reveiled again, at least it used to be that way. Did they patch it?

I don't play my night blade in pvp as dps so I've always used it as a dot cleanse and a way to break line of site. It saves a lot of mana I would spend otherwise trying to out heal the dot damage for other things.
