Save the main story?

Hello,

Is it possible to hold off on doing the main story quests until you reach 50? Then do them all back-to-back? The reason I ask, is because I don't really like waiting so long in between each part. I don't play that often so it could be weeks before I get to the next part. By that time, I have forgotten what is going on. I don't see any reason why I wouldn't be able to do this, but wanted to ask just in case.

Don't you have to be at a certain point in the main story to advance past level 43 (into Coldharbour)? Should be possible to put it off until then, at least.

I dont know if Messages Across Tamroel is related to story quest or not. I got it after I got the Rift quest achievement.

Someone told me he put it off until after he got all the skillpoints. Obviously he was missing a few though.

yes you can; I only started the discover the harborage quest AFTER I finished coldharbour via the faction route. Was already vet 1 even
