If ESO had structured PvP

Everyone would be allowed to enjoy PvP without putting 150+ hours into a character just to PvP without getting rofl stomped.

It is just a huge turn off when a player hears they can PvP at level 10 then they go to fight players who out gear and probably out skill them and they don't actually get to PvP instead they get to do a running simulator.

Now I know I'm going to get arguments "just level up to VR and stop complaining".
To that argument I can name countless MMO were you aren't forced to hit level cap to enjoy PvP.

Structured PvP takes away from Cyrodill.
Maybe because people prefer PvP not PvWall.

In the end the casuals are going to keep this game alive and forcing a casual to spend 150 hours just to PvP is just a huge turn off to the casual player base, I know we dislike casuals for "dumbing down" the game but you can't ignore the fact that they are the majority but just because we all pay the same price doesn't mean we all deserve everything the game offers so this isn't a plea to make the game left click to win but more to allow note options which the elder scrolls series is about.

I can handle the insane level grind to effectively PvP even though I think it's a bad design choice. My issue is that they deceived us, letting us believe that we could not only effectively PvP at level 10 but that we could level up in PvP.

i seen players lvl in the pvp zone, and i dont mean from killing players but doing the pve quests areas there is in there, and they were lvl 16 and a lvl 36 grped toghter to do the quests there, and yes now and then they got attacked by others and got killed, but thats what pvp is about.
and i bet at the time they are vet rank they feel like home in the pvp zone, where most players take some time to learn the ways around the zone.

just a huge turn off that there is a to many pve zones and only 1 pvp zone, if
they could only have merged the 2 into 5 zones for each 10 lvls you gain it would have been even better, so that at lvl 10 you can enter a zone with some keeps and pve quests and all that, and Again same at lvl 20-30.... and at vet rank you get into the main pvp zone where you can become empore. pve while pvping is just the most fun in the mmo World.

Go ahead. I, for one, do not enjoy the 50 versus 50 fights that currently go on. Those fights take very little skill, and all I have to do to kill someone is pull them into the mob.

Yes they did, which hopefully will go into development once Imperial city is complete since if they want to do good with the casual playerbase (Console gamers) they need it.

If they do that, PVE players run out of content, say theirs no content and quit the game.

People could go play a different game instead of coming to an MMO and being self-entitled crybabies.

This is a sound example of "elitist" behavior that unfortunately many of these kids hide behind in the online world.

I hope they end campaigns early, shortly after 1.1 goes live, and then create 1-2 new campaigns that are designated for lvl 10-49, which would make that AvA experience much more enticing and fun.

We do need a separation between Vet players and those under 50. As it is now, many newer players become discouraged and frustrated when they do their best to use sound tactics, only to get face rolled by some Vet ranked player.

I believe the majority of the community would like something like this and it would go a long way in promoting all the game play elements every player is entitled to.

I'll unsub if they announce there will never be arenas/battle grounds. Lets see if the game goes free to play =). Btw. Cyrodiil is instanced as well just a huge instance.

I've played AvA(RvR) for like 300-400 hours now and have not PvWall for more than 10 of those.

It's been a pure RvR experience with roaming and killing people... Done some zerg vs zerg stuff but most of the time I do 4-8 (my competitive guild) vs X or 1vs1+.

Make your own PvP that's what's good with RvR it can be anything keep taking, 1vs1, group vs guild... anything. Go kill people while they're running to the keep fights, ruin their day haha.

I'm not sure what you're talking about with the "insane" grind...

I rolled a NB alt last week who is now nearly lvl 47 in 34 hours /played and that includes doing ALL the harborage quests, the Coldharbour mainquests and getting all the skyshards in 4 zones so far.

Why cant you put in the work to improve yourself? You dont even have to quest, you can also grind. There has to be a way to distinguish the strong and the weak...the ones who put in the work and the ones who didnt....

By the way, Cyrodiil is full of experience through quests and captures and bounties. I gain about 1-2 levels a night. So where is the problem, You want more experience? They doubled it. How much easier can they make it for you?
Honestly, i think yourself and others are playing pvp at such low levels that you make up all sorts of wild complaints. Do what it takes to be a veteran,gl.

"I can't beat this player. PvP isn't fair. Change it."

Plenty of players below veteran have killed plenty of veterans. You are a part of the alliance, the fact that you are at a disadvantage in a 1v1 situation when facing someone who out-gears you, out-levels you, or out-plays you are all aspects of THIS game. Demanding that it changes just because it means you, personally, can't win against some players is what makes you self-entitled crybabies.

They already give you participation trophies. Stop demanding that everyone get's a 1st place trophy.

He has a point though. I dont want a first place trophy. I dont really want them to change anything except the bugs. I want to be able to get to my platoon. Its kinda sucky to run to your buddies to only be demolished by a stealthed Vet who cut around for a ganking maneuved. Is it fair? Absolutelt. Is it strategic? Of course. I will not fault someone for using strategt qmd even brute force to overcome an obstacle. The issue is if I want to actually contribute anything in pvp I must be veteran to ensure that I can simply GET to the fight. Its fair and strategic, but not fun or conducive. If they wanted me to wait till vet to pvp they mever should have told me differently.

I could go make a level 10 right now and contribute in PvP. These blanket statements of being completely ineffective in an alliance vs alliance setting are laughable. I think the reason you get rolled by veterans so hard is not because they are veteran, but because they are the type of player to level and learn how to be effective in Cyrodiil. Even if all of you low level complainers were given veteran, you would still get rolled and still come here to cry about it being unfair.
  • dahl.lucas_ESO
I really hope they don't ever have arenas. It's easy enough to find some one to 1v1 with. Can't wait for the new pvp instance either. If you want some fancy tournament then go organize one. I know I'd show up lol.

I've already pissed away my countless hours in PvE in order to hit Veteran rank.
Why should I have had to do that after being told I could level through PvP? Oh yeah, because I was lied to.

As someone who has already accepted having to sacrifice countless hours of PvP time in order to get to Veteran, I still think that there should be means for new PvP players to level up to Veteran through PvP.

I've been PvPing on a regular basis since level 10 on the first day of Early Access -- I find it deeply regretful that many potential hours of that PvP time had to be sacrificed in order to waste time leveling through PvE.

Honestly, I think people who say that leveling through PvP shouldn't be viable are just PvErs who wandered into the wrong forum section.

NO. You either wait for your buddies to meet you or wait to be rezzed by your "buddies" instead of respawning if you died. If you aren't waiting for people at the castle so you can run to your friends as a group expect to get ganked. This is world pvp 101. Gankers look for people like you all day long.

The whining in these forums is reaching colossal levels. PVWall lol. I haven't hit a wall or keep door yet.
