2nd weapon choice

Ok so I'm look for some advice on a 2nd weapon choice..
My Stats
Currently lvl 47 imperial DK expected to be lvl 50 after next session
1h/shield- maxed
Ardent, Draconic, Heavy Armor- maxed
Race need 1 skill point @ lvl 50
Bow lvl 25 other weapons between 10-15 because of skill books
I have about 8 unused skill points and will have another 4-5 @ 50
I like to jump in hacking, slashing, and bashing my current set-up is pretty decent can solo just about everything and I enjoy playing the character. However, sometimes I feel a little short especially in long distance. I have heard that long distance can be helpful in VR levels, considering the group content coming out I would like to contribute a bit more then just being a sandbag. I find the weapon swap a little wonky, but would consider starting long dist and moving close. Another melee weapon seems a little redundant, but if someone could provide a good justification I would consider a respec. Any suggestions?
