So with everything flying around about Bash and its related passives...and the 3 second cooldown current on PTS why not try something like this:
Have the damage and stamina cost and stun length of Bash be based upon the base armor rating of the shield. I mean isn't that the point? You're hitting them with a big heavy piece of reinforced wood? Heavier (more armor) will do more damage and take more out of you to swing around
I wasn't sure if the Deadly Bash passive applied to the actual skill or to the shield bash interrupt...but either way I think this could work.
You would have people therefore going for smaller shields akin to bucklers-style fighting for quick repeated jabs or large tower shields for the one time "I'm going to put you on your ass" moments.
The reinforced trait now becomes viable on shields as it is the BASE damage that is factored into the stamina costs and what not. And current bash jewelry can be reworked to increase damage or decrease stamina costs without having to revamp the entire system.
