Master Ritualist:
• Decreased this ability’s resurrection cast speed bonus.
• Those who have spent Skill Points in the Master Ritualist passive will have those points returned to their overall skill point pool. You may place those Skill Points back in this ability if you wish, or invest them elsewhere.

Flying Blade (morph of Hidden Blade)
• Increased the cost of Flying Blade. It now has the same cost as Hidden Blade.
• Those who have spent Skill Points in the Flying Blade passive will have those points returned to their overall skill point pool. You may place those Skill Points back in this ability if you wish, or invest them elsewhere.

Skills like these and more get refund. Small changes.
Vampire
• Fixed an issue with the ability Bat Swarm so it will no longer stack with itself. It will instead refresh if re-cast.
• Reduced the cost reduction per stage of vampire abilities.
• Reduced the movement speed bonus of the ability Mist Form.

They make sweeping changes with vampirism. Not only do we not get the skill points from the skills back. But we have to pay the 6 4th to cure AND then pay roughly 14k for a respectable just to get those 14 skill points back. That's pretty rough.

But if that's not bad enough.

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team.

Being infected with Vampirism will always take its toll. If you wish to get those skill points back, since you have already been bitten, you will need to be bitten again, visit the Re-Dedication Shrine located in the main city of your alliance, and pay the fee associated with the blessing. After these steps, you can then get cured from vampirism and you'll retain your skill points.
In other words, if you get cured before visiting the re-dedication shrine you won't be able to get the skill points back.

Thank you for your continued interest and support!

They change a skill so you don't want to use it anymore. They don't refund the points. Fine, I'm just going to cure it. You cure it and find out you didn't get points back. But instead of being able to just rededicate, you have to:
1. Wait forever to find vampire NPCs again or pay 10-15k for a bite.
2. Do quest all over - Sure fine, I'm VR levels.
3. Become vampire. Pay the 14k to respec.
4. Then pay the 641g again to cure again.

How is this remotely not jacked up?

UPDATE: My points were refunded and I was happy with that. Most of the rest of the replies in this thread are simple replies to people trying to attack me, making false claims that I shouldn't get anything as I was likely one of the abusers, etc. It's not the case, but even if it were it shouldn't invalidate that big changes to skills warrant a refund of skill like in ANY MMO.

@navystylz_ESO‌ - You are definitely correct. If other skills have had their points refunded when they were changed, then the Vampire skill line should have had their points refunded as well.

Another butthurt player by vamp exploiters I guess.

Hate to break it to you but I had planned on being a vampire since beta. I was one of the first 3 EP guys infected and turned when the first vampires spawned in early access.

I haven't actually played any PVP since beta. I just recently got Vampirism, not because I wanted to pwn PVP, but because I thought it sounded fun for PVE content. Now, I'm not sure how fun it will be.

Had I known that such sweeping changes were coming, I would stayed human... or Altmer, or whatever.

when i got infected i thought Vampire were quote "weak" in pvp but thought would be good for PVE and just fun.... that is before all this forum whining about how vamps are to powerful in PVP & they nerfed it (i cant play PVP anyway coz VET's are too powerful in PVP) .... they handled this VERY POORLY. So ur ugly comments serve no purpose for lots of us that got this ability before we new they were supposedly overpowered in PVP.

yes i have, those people abusing it suck and they're the problem. not all of us who went vamp wanted to abuse this stuff but the nerf hit us as well. and whether people abused it or not it was still working as intended. it's not the players' faults when developers knowingly leave something like this in and regret it later but we're the ones paying for it.

I don't see him complaining about the nerf at all. The complaint is how when other skills were changed, they got their skill points back, but the vampire skill line did not. Yep, nothing about the nerf. Personally, I agree with the nerf. I also agree that they should have gotten their points back.

Well seems like people in official forms are definitely more level-headed than on tamriel foundry. People there were pretty much all like the guy who is trying to mask his glee about the vampire nerfs, because he's butthurt over encountering them in pvp.

That's why I say you're butthurt SirAndy. The people who are all gleeful are the ones that were unable to understand how the exploit work, that a good many people COULDN'T achieve it, and a good many who could never bothered to.

Lashing out at all vampires, and having no reading comprehension for posts except the tunnel vision on "vampire", shows your true nature of being butthurt.

Not necessarily, that should be the standard when they nerf skills. I know on 1.1 I'm constantly getting the message about refunding my points for skills that received a nerf. May have just been a delay.

Seriously... If the whole point here is to "save you some gold" then it isn't likely to happen.

    Gold Sink.

Think of all the players in the game that turned vampire... think of the THOUSANDS of gold that would be for respec, and curing.

Seriously the Bat Swarm fix was not a nerf, it was a bug fix. The reduction to the stages was a nerf, but not as sweeping as some of you are making it sound like. They didn't change how the skill worked, they just reduced the numbers on it to balance it better.

actually, i think the big issue here is the cost reduction nerf. most of us don't care about the stacking nerf, that was obviously wrong. the cost reduction wasn't a bug though, it was intended.

Vampires were OP and the nerfs do not nerf them to the ground instead it balances them while still making them viable. But I think it would have been fair if ZoS did refund your skill points, they did it for any other skill so why not this one.

Correct. They also didn't fix the bugs with Mist Form in general before nerfing the speed down to the same level as other skills, except those skills let you perform actions too.

Also Mist Form CC immunity does not work if players use tab target to select you first - it will let them CC you.

Further, this nerf doesn't actually fix the ability for people to spam Bat Swarm if they wear the right gear.

It wasn't so much the spamming of Bat Swarm it was the fact that each time they cast it they got another instance of it. Imagine if DKs could have like 6 instances of Standard up at one time.

There was one fix and one passive nerf. They changed one skill that is not sweeping.

No. And people's seriously lack of reading comprehension is disturbing. I get it, you hate vampires because they apparently rolled all over you in PvP.

    BUT

    1. I made decision to be a vampire in beta when game went live.
    2. I was a vampire at lvl 17, the first thursday at 6:35 AM EST of early access when the NPC spawn was still on a cycle. The very first vampire spawn appeared and I was infected.
    3. I leveled with it to hoots of glee at how weak vampires would be in pvp, to many warnings of people not to take vampire and pvp cuz you're going to die so easy. The preconceived notion was vamps would suck.
    4. Some times later these builds able to abuse bat swarm start happening (tell me how a nightblade can achieve this, because as far as I know no nightblade can). And now everyone who is a vampire did it to be OP, even though this didn't appear until weeks after many many people were turned.

Um, if you change something despite how "broken" it is you should get said skill points refunded, rule of thumb and whatnot.
When they inevitably change some of the Sorcerer / DK spells they should get their spell points back from said spells.
Furthermore, there are some individuals who didn't "exploit" vampirism, hell, I never once PvPed, so assuming someone did is pretty presumptuous.
I'm sure if they changed a skill line on whatever class you play and didn't refund skill points you'd probably be annoyed.

I haven't been to either and had no idea that it was broken/exploitable, nor did I know this nerf was coming. I've been a vampire for some time now and I'm in the upper Veteran ranks. So, yea, I agree with the OP. I want my skill points back please. :(
