Vampirism (amongst other things) is a huge pvp force multiplier at the moment, it's highly overpowered and game changing. Add to that the proliferation of the disease and we have a massive amount of the pvp crowd playing as a vampire. It's supposed to be a curse. Not godmode...

Is there a "re-balancing" in the pipeline? Something in the very near future I hope!

    Ahhh I disagree... Vampires are learning to master their playstyle, now you need to master "how to kill a vampire 101" You just need to learn new tactics in killing vampires, but we arent just going to give you the answer for you. Youll have to figure that on your own, just like our guild did.

    "Yeah, we are aware of the issues vampires in PvP. One bug fix and two balance changes are in the pipe, and should get to you guys next week. The changes are:

    * Fixed the bug where multiple Bat Swarms can be stacked on the same Vampire.

    * Reduced the movement speed bonus durring mist form to 30% (which makes it equivalent to the “Boundless storm” morph of Lightning form)

    * Reduced the Vampire ability cost reduction to 7% per stage

    We’ll continue to monitor Vampires in pvp after these changes hit as well."

    Their reign will soon end :) with the changes going to happen, i doubt people will still stay vampire :)) the tradeback is too strong for the mediocre cost reduction

    Soon doesn't unscrew the alliance leaderboards for the first 3 month campaign though. No one that's not abused the vampire "oversights" will be high enough to get Emperor until next cycle. I know that I sure would of loved to have unlocked my Alliance War skills but as it is now there's no point to even try.

    Ignorance...

    Nerf DK and Sorc today, and you would NEVER here someone complain about Vamps.

    You would hear people screaming Vamps need a buff. FFS Vamps are getting one-shot right and left out there.

    It is kinda funny that even when it has been confirmed that faulty coding cause bat swarms to stack, mist form to negate fire vulnerability, mist form preventing targeting etc. people are still complaining that it is being fixed.

    I think that they are just funnin'... otherwise the alternative they are not that bright and it is a representative portion of the population starting to inundate our online haven for the smartest people in the world, and I just cant have that.

    Hey Zargorius, how about you monitor all of the broken skills and talents in the NB tree; here's a thought, lets fix the skills that are so completely broken certain classes are basically unplayable....no wait, lets nerf vampire instead, no no, we are aware that the vampire stages are completely bugged, but were going to nerf them instead of addressing the armor that makes this exploit possible. To the OP, check out the warrior guild abilities, do you realize the negatives to being a Vampire ? If someone blows smoke rings in your general direction you fall over dead. So glad I spent 17 hours camping those fiends. This game was not ready for launch, period. But, hey I'm out 75 dollars for the collectors edition and ESO has made some of it's investment back, right? ...rant off.

    Vampirism is OP, its on a short list of OP skills/class effects and needs fixing quickly. It's not the same as some class skills that are not working properly.

    It is currently a huge force multiplier which is why people are taking advantage of it, just like they take advantage of the DK/claws spam and the Blink Sorc spell.

    Things like this^ need to be changed quickly because they skew the balance in pvp massively for those using these skills vs those that don't. So yeah the "FIX time" from ZOS is too slow currently. They need to step it up a gear or two and pay attention to whats going on in Cyrodil, then quickly test - then adjust skills.

    The problem is DKs and Sorcerers are not much a problem without the Vampire abilities. Sorcerers are only really dangerous when AoE spamming and that in itself has been highlighted as something that (along with all AoEs) will be bought back in to line.

    The fact is no Emperor has taken the throne without either being a Vampire themselves or having a Vampire entourage to carry them there. That right there should be highlighting the problem here if countless cases of Vampires soloing keeps or literally dozens of other players was not enough for some bizarre reason.

    I don't know whether to laugh or bang my head on a wall. Dks and sorcs ain't OP without the Vamp. And its only certain elements of the Vamp which seem to be issues. Every Aoe ability is now Being capped turning this game into a zerg on zerg fest whoever has the bigger numbers wins game, It was already approaching that.

    Tactics in this game includes teams stacking on top of each other. say its a team of 24. I hit them with lightning flood which doesn't hit hard. Now it will only hit 6 max when 1.1 hits. Right now when i cast it i can have the potential to hit more then this, but this ability will be worthless with 1.1.

    As for vamps i been trying the past few days i cured it earlier it really is overrated I mean Yes the bat swarm is a *** to a zerg but any coordinated team can take it down without losses. Emperors more of an issue. I know the bat swarm needs sorting but also they shouldn't make them worthless, if they do lots will be soooooo angry lol.

    A balance needs to be found with everything. This will take time, I just hope they keep these balance changes coming and fast and not taking forever with them like some other games did.

    I don't think that's true. It's not on the small list of AOE skills getting changed. Apparently it already has a cap of six. I chose lightning flood too for the potential to hit more people but I think it's been capped, or at least the PTS patch notes say that it's capped (in that only a few AOE skills are getting changed to match the cap of all the other AOE skills).

    The OP likes to deal in absolute without providing any details to hit claims.

    We have been dealing with vamps quite allot on the battlefield, we have our own as well.

    As others pointed here the Vampire is powerful when the Bats Stacks, is that simple. A bug in the game allows for the ultimate to cost 40 points and that you can make in about 3-4 seconds out of the 5 secs ultimate duration.

    All the best AOE skills are PBAOE. All the ranged AOE doesn't hit nearly as hard. Lightning Flood has been worthless. If you want to do more damage the Liquid Lightning morph is better imo.

    Vampires aren't hard to shut down if you have an organized group supporting you, but they do rip through pugs very fast. I know they are nerfing the cost reduction for vampires, but most of the vamps I know seem to think they will still be able to drop the ult cost below 100.. especially if they are Sorc. So while I think Vamps will be changed I don't think they will be under powered at all. I'll drop my rank 10 vamp line as soon as they make Werewolf worth running though.

    I hate how many vampires there are, but it makes my silver shards extra special.

    I love hanging back in battle on my horse and then riding down vampires when they try to escape in mist form. One silver shards and the crowd tears them apart.

    (Biggest thing is people need to learn tactics to deal with DK vampires... stay at range and attack)
