Vamps and PvP Emperor

Was just wondering if we have any campaigns in EU or NA where the current Emperor is not a Vamp?

1st everyone who cant play against a vamp pls delet ure char
2nd the big problem will be fixed with 1.2 with aoe target cap so clam dowm and go solo pvp until its fixed

This really asks a different question. I can deal with vamps .. what about the zerg next to me?
I'm asking a simple question has anyone been able to get more points than a Vamp or are all our emperors Vamps?
(If every single best player has to play 1 build in a game with so many choices as ESO there's a problem)

P.S. AoE target cap wont affect vamps as vamps already have bat swarm limited to 6 max (read the clarification of which abilities are added

I love these guys, ahh if you cannot deal with Vamps just delete your char blabla, I bet half of them (or even more) die 1 on 1 to a Vamp

Well I was emperor without vampire... and I would become emperor again if AD captured the keeps. I have recently picked up vampire though since it's so incredibly good (broken) and am currently slowly leveling it.
Even without batswarm I'd keep vampire though. mist form is more than good enough IMO to justify the fire damage.

I'd be happy if they completely rebalanced it so that it isn't OP, I didn't need it before and I don't need it now.

1. Yes, learn to overcome challenges (or delete toon)
2. I hope they do not go making all AOE so limited. It is not the fix PVP needs. Starters, needs fewer campaigns. Everyone seems to go to the campaign their alliance is winning rather than showing an interest in this little thing some call PVP.

The question isn't whether there is a correlation between vamps and emperors (because everyone is doing that one), the question is why is there no werewolves as emperor?

Every emperor has been a vampire. If an isolated exception exists it is because it is an isolated incident...

At lease there are some changes coming to Vamps


Fixed the bug where multiple Bat Swarms can be stacked on the same Vampire.
Reduced the movement speed bonus during mist form to 30% (which makes it equivalent to the "Boundless storm" morph of Lightning form)
Reduced the Vampire ability cost reduction to 7% per stage

And we'll continue to monitor the situation after these changes go live

Nope. There's been plenty of videos so far showing that it's not a learn-to-play issue. Vamp mist form and bat swarm are simply broken, laughably so. You can add silver bolts to that broken list too because it usually does nothing at all.

Nope. The AOE target cap change is only affecting a select few skills that can currently hit more than six targets at a time. No vamp skills are being changed because apparently they are already limited to six at a time. That's what the PTS patch notes say.

Yes here, Bloodthorn EU Daggerfall VR 10 Nightblade... Wrong class to abuse this (not even tried it)... I am still stupid enough to play a stamina-build with bow... ;-)

Is this Wabbajack EU? because otherwise I call BS as I've personally cast negate on Fixate while he was using bat swarm twice yesterday and once today.

Edit: What I'm trying to say is that vamp are currently broken and should be fixed / not because they can't be countered by good players but because they generally force a single tactic to get Emperor. I'm not blaming anyone that is using it since there's no reason not to at the moment. It is nice to hear though that there are places where non-vamp's are crowned like Bloodthorn EU

First battle took place near ales 2 days ago and the one yesterday was at bleakers when I saw fixate in the middle of a group and a bat swarm pretty much on top of him. I guess it is possible for there to have a mist form vamp right with him both times but I'm skeptical.

Regardless if we take his post as true then so far we have 2 that have come forward as non-vamps and we also have a plan by ZOS to change vamp so I think this topic has been answered.

Vampire is not a problem, that is a nice joke...
It's a problem if a solo player can kill zerg of 50+ ppl alone, stacking the skill just instakilling ppl.

Fixate isn't a vampire but runs with a group that has a ton of them. He is however a Dragonknight which is like a prerequisite for Emperorship at the moment. The issues with that class alone has been pointed out in a few hundred threads at this point so there's no need to me to bring them up :P.

I'm ready to accept you are not a vamp and I was mistaken. You seem to have answered calmly so I believe it must've been another EP vamp that was near you during fights and that threw me off.

Looking forward to many more fights on Wabbajack and we now seem to have 3 examples of non-vamp emperors just out of those that have commented on this forum post so my guess is that while there are balancing changes that are coming to vamp there are other builds that people have used to get emperor.

I agree with you regarding point 2. No one seems to play out there for the actually PvP, but rather they do whatever gets them the most 'points'. If the two coincide, well good, but if not, the PvP is often and afterthought. Quite sad.

The 3 members of my guild (NA Dawnbreaker) who have made emperor are not and have never been vampires. I was emperor at level 29.
How strong your toon is has little to do with emperorship. What makes an emperor is point management, not solo pvp power.
