SLI Support?

Viper_Infinity
Hello I have 2 Nvidia GTS 450's (old but work really well) in SLI but there is one issue, there is no SLI support for this game. One card runs at constant 100% while the other runs at constant 0%. I have tried various methods to get SLI working (and the AFR2 thing worked) but there is a micro stuttering issue that gives me nausea and headaches so I don't use it. With the AFR2 method i get 30+ FPS in all areas and it's awesome, but the issue of micro stuttering makes it so I can't enjoy it.

Right now I am going at 26-40FPS depending on my zone but with AFR2 i go from 35-67 FPS in areas. With true SLI support I think the results will either be the same of a little better (plus without micro stuttering). I would like to see a proper Zenimax response to this issue and hopefully it will get fixed soon.

there IS a fix for SLI posted a couple weeks ago in ESO forums:

    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/77002/enable-sli-including-more-then-20fps-temp-fix/p1

    1. in nvidia control panel set ESO profile to 'AFR2'
    2. in UserSettings.txt set GPUSmoothingFrames from '10' to '0'
    (see link above for details)

This will enable full screen SLI without fps limit.

however.... screen tearing/micro stutter becomes a problem...

    "screen tearing/micro stutter fix"

    1. Win 7 Aero Desktop must be enabled.
    2. MUST enable vsync in the ESO video options.

(nvidia conrol panel vsync won't work until ESO enables true full screen)

IMPORTANT: ESO vsync requires Win 7 Aero Desktop enabled! without Aero enabled vsync does not work properly in ESO. this is because ESO is not true full screen, still a form of 'windowed mode' sharing desktop resources.

@Kahlar if you would of read my post you would realize that yes i tried that method and yes micro-stuttering is still an issue. I always have Aero disabled. Thanks for re-iterating though.

Not yet live but they added real full screen support to the latest patch on the PTS and SLI seems to be working OK for me now. Let's hope that gets pushed to live soon.

@SirAndy‌ Where did you read that they implemented this?

I've been playing Craglorn on PTS since last Friday and one of the new things that patch came with is a true fullscreen mode.

Even got 3D vision to work!
    :)
