PvP "Debuff" for levels 10-49

I'm not sure on how many of you have noticed this, but upon entering Cyrodiil, if you are below level 50, you receive a "buff". This "buff" gives you a standard armor and spell resistance based off of your level. While this may at first sound like you are getting a boost to your armor and spell resistance, I assure you that many of you are not. In fact, most of you are actually losing spell resistance and armor. Let me show you.

I have done extensive testing before going into combat, and I see no point to even wear his armor in PvP! Here is some statistics that I have noticed:

In PvE: Spell resist: 924 , Armor: 875
In PvP: Spell resist: 892 , Armor: 735
In PvP: Spell resist: 892 , Armor: 735 With no armor equipped! All of it was removed from my character.
This was done on a Nightblade at level 39.

Key things I want to point out:
1. The buff we get does not buff anyone above the threshold for their level; it debuffs them.
2. Wearing armor actually does nothing. If you are (some how) below the buff threshold, you still have the total of the buff. If you are above, your stats are taken away from you, and given the exact value of the buff for your level. While you may gain increases to your recovery pools, it isn't worth breaking blue, purple, legendary gear for the tiny stats without the protection to keep you alive. Save your money, and wear junk gear.
3. Remember all the news we saw pre-release of the game, the ones about lower levels being buffed to still be competitive? This "buff" actually makes it easier for 50+ to put you 6ft deep. They don't even need a shovel anymore. Notice how my character lost 140 armor going into PvP? That's 16% of my total armor, gone. I was wearing full medium. Think about all the tank/heavy armor players out there, and the stats they will lose. Those advertisements are getting under my skin right now, because I wanted to play the entire game 10-max in PvP, guess who isn't doing that anymore.
4. Crafting for PvP below level 50 is worthless for PvP'ers. I spent days worth of play time already just crafting alone (yes, I'm an addict), and all the time/mats was wasted.

I have submitted this to the /feedback as requested when I contacted customer support, thinking that this was at first a major bug that needed fixed. I mean, if you saw your stats decrease when you gained a "buff", wouldn't you think it was a bug too?

My question I state to ESO is why won't you let me use the gear I have? I see no benefit to the world by lowering lower level players' gear. A friend of mine watched a lvl Veteran 6 take on approximately 15 people (the number may be a little over exaggerated, but even 1 on 5 would seem like that player was a god.) If someone at V6 is already able to do this, why can't I have all the stats I can for a level 39?

This needs to be fixed, or establish that PvP is End-game material (which is completely against everything you said before the game released).

I would love to here from other players on their feelings on this, or ways to improve this "buff" system. I get the feeling plenty of you strongly agree with me, and maybe if we all actually speak up, this matter might be changed/fixed.

Thanks for reading,
Zeddium.

Actually it's really bad for the armor value. I had more than 1400 armor at lvl 48 or so and it was also reduced to around 800. Using +1000 armor buffs did absolutely nothing.
But there is hope that with the patch 1.1 this might get fixed. Here a quote from the pts patch notes.

The new Battle Level option in the gameplay settings menu allows you to choose whether you want your stats to be automatically adjusted in Cyrodiil or if you’d prefer to use the raw values of your stats.

That is the best news I have heard in weeks, but while it gives me my own stats, that still doesn't explain the whole "buff to help lower levels". Thanks for the info bud, really appreciate it!

Ive noticed this, and the scaling in Cyrodill is horrible, on a lvl 42 char wearing heavy armour, with my spell resist and armour both in the "overcharged" state at around 1400 each, my spell resist dropped to around 1000 and my armour down too 805.
I was in nothing special either, mostly crafted green gear for leveling, with a blue weapon.
The issue is that, while your weapon power and main stats and their regen scale up, armour doesn't seem too, and you cant increase your main stats at all in Cyrodiil from what Ive noticed, food doesn't add too it for one, neither do enchants.
I have also noticed that stat increasing skills (in my case bound armour on my sorc) do nothing in Cyrodiil.

The only way to increase your stats while under lvl 50 in Cyrodiil seems to be to do a LOT of PvP in your weak state.
Leveling up your alliance rank seems to add a small amount to your stat threshold, Issue is that takes a long time and you will still burn like paper in a fire against the veteran rank players.
I have seen 1 vet rank person take out 8 people under 50 at once, didn't even lose half their HP from doing it.

You don't seem to be getting anything other then the "minimum required stats" to not die to the mobs that are in Cyrodiil easily (generic mobs in caves, Imperial soldiers, ect. not the keep guards)

A better way to set it up, rather then this "just what you need to start, PvP for to not get destroyed" setup would be plain and simple scaling.

    - Give everyone under lvl 50 a boost on their gear to lvl 50 green equivalent in the grade they are wearing. (light becomes light, heavy becomes heavy)
    - Give everyone under lvl 50 the base stats for a lvl 50 (no level bonus points applied)
    - Allow skills to ACTUALLY DO THEIR EFFECTS
    - Everyone under lvl 50 takes in their own bonuses, as is. You only get the level points and enchant effects that you have (a lvl 10 going in with 5 points in HP and 4 in stamina only gets the bonuses for them, not level bonuses are automatically applied)

Actual buffing, not based off how much PvP you have already done.
This will make things more even slated for the lower levels going into Cyrodiil.
And the best part? its actually your character, reflecting the decisions on what you have leveled, your skills and what you have equipped.

Will the vet ranks still hold an edge? yes.
Is that bad? no, every battlefield needs leaders and heros, the vet ranks are it for us in Cyrodiil.

I noticed my bound armor spell wasn't functioning either...
