Armor color templar vs dragonkinight

kustassooeb17_ESO
As i play templar, do all my crafted armors look silly light? I mean I saw that dragonknight use dark/black armor and as I play i only see some ugly yellow colors coming? Have I misunderstand something or is it really like that? I love how dark argonian heavy armor looks like, but as I created my templar it only showed some light ugly version of this armor. Are there color variations?

What race are you? The armor styles are based on race not class. I'm a redguard templar and i use primarily nord or imperial armor.

Not just based on the type of armour, but also the level. Around level 35, my Orc looked awesome with his dark green armour with a golden trim. Now at vet 2 my Orcish armour is all silver and in comparison looks dull and bland imo.

Your class has no influence on the armor color. I tested it last week. Made the same dress with my sorcerer and with my templar (lvl 16 light armor robe, Dunmer motif, no trait), they were identical.

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Quality level also has an effect.

In the character creation screen, click on novice and veteran gear for both DK and Templar. Both will have the same style armour, DK will be dark and Templar will be light.

The key word here is Veteran gear. Material and quality effect the colour as well.
mDKs still need a lot of love!

So it is like that, in the end I (templar) can't have same colour armor as DK has?
