Or get more stamina?... You know that the cost for root abilities out there (the Sorceror ranged aoe root, Bow root aoe, dk root etc) is more crucial than dodge cost, right? It usually cost magicka as well, which is more important than stamina. So if they spam root on you, you will stand there with 100% magicka, while he is burned out and ready to die.

i am specced for stamina. yet i can only dodge roll twice(due to using some stam abilities). they can spam talons....3-5 times

Vampires are a bit OP now, not because they have an escape, but because of a broken Ult skill that can be spammed non-stop if the enemy group is big enough, allows them to either become invisible or get infinite health regen.

There are some counters to this ult, and one of those is to get out of it. But what are you going to do when that vampire using a root on you. You escape by dodge rolling, using the last of your stamina, only to be rooted by them again, while they are still casting bat swarms in your face.

The way it is now, allows for already over powered classes, (Due to the effectiveness of their AoE abilities) to be even more effective, by allowing them to spam it over and over keeping them inside their AoE.

I suppose one could argue that maybe the cost of mist form is a bit too low, allowing for an infinite escape ability.

At least bolt escape can only be cast so many times before they run out of magicka. It also doesn't make them untargetable, increase their damage mitigation by 75% or makes them immune to non-rooting CC.

Also I fail to see how spammable roots help stop bolt escape, as it does not prevent it. As a sorc i've used bolt escape while rooted, and all it does is move the root to my new location. So I fail to see your point.

Dodge costs are based off % of max stamina, not a fixed cost. Roughly speaking, one can only dodge roll twice in a row before being unable to again.
So the cost of breaking the root is generally more costly than the rooting ability itself.

Also to say that magicka is of more importance than stamina depends entirely on a person's build. Some builds allow for more stamina based play.
