How does the instancing work ?

In my limited experience in Dungeons i have always had to spend a few minutes with the group, logging and re logging, transfering over and running in and out to try get in the same instance

How can I avoid this?
And How does the instancing work? I would have assumed that zoning in to dungeon it would automatically put us together, but that is not the case

I did a search but could not find anything, maybe i was not as specific

Any pointers,

Getting into the same instance can be quite frustrating. The system appears to be extremely bugged.

What we have found to work for us is this:

One designated group member (can be anyone, doesn't have to be the group leader) enters the dungeon while everyone else waits. Once the player is in the dungeon he gives a signal "ready" and everyone else now opens their party menu (P), right clicks the player that has entered the dungeon and selects "Travel to Player".

So far this appears to work reliably for us.
