Major scroll carrying exploit

DC just used a major exploit to carry the scroll in AB. I t was being carried by a vamp constantly misting so he was untargettable the whole time moving in the little dustball. These abilities should not be usable carrying the scroll and spammability of it needs to go away. An untargettable carrier is bad for gameplay. I even had the guy separated where i could get him one on one till his buddies caught up behind me and I still couldn't get him due to the constant lack of a target. I can't believe that this was intended. If it is we might as well find another game because soon all will just have vamps carry scrolls to be untargettable.

ESO can you please address this?

Explain to me, if you would, kind sir, how you use a Crowd Control, or as you boorishly say, a "CC", on a character that cannot be targeted, and is traveling at speeds that the finest steeds cannot achieve?

Well just a huge tip out there, Any Aoe ability will target someone in mist form. *MINDS BLOWN* Also, maybe use something that will immobilize them *hint hint*

Because mistform doesn't read "gain invulnerability to all healing magics and control effects for 4 seconds" or anything.

I like how anything that isn't easy mode or allows opponents to win is "exploiting."

    Just kidding. No, I don't.

And skilled vamps use immoveable every time a character gets near them before entering mistform...
Warden Main apparently... 7 Wardens currently, otherwise a healer of every class.
Mostly active in No CP PVP on EU, blaming the buffbot meta in pve.
I want to feel like I am saving somebodies life, not like I am carrying amunition for them...

Anyone know if Bolt Escape while carrying a scroll is still a thing?

@Fatalyis Need to keep some in effect, after all there is time limit to make it back or the scroll resets.

Though am curious if any of the fighter guild abilities work on a vampire in mist forum would solve some issues, but don't think any are AOE.

EIt: Never-mind trap beast and dawnbreaker shoulder work

Read the descriptor. "immunity" "control effects"
Unless they've rethought this, and maybe they have - I don't have a vampire presently - this means that the vamp carrier can simply trigger the ability and gain Immunity to all forms of stun, snare, hold, knockdown, etc. for 4 seconds at a time.

If they have changed this, it leaves the opening to use those abilities, yes.. but how do you get ahead of them to use them?

Im not too expirienced in PvP, but I'd think that using dark talons or encase should work (seems that this abilities ignore all imunity to CC), followed by negate magic. After that vamp is vulnarable and unable to enter mist form

@Rantog More the damage from those fighter skills should slow it down, even in mist forum. Remember dreadic, undead(this includes vampires last I checked) and werewolf if you take a certian passive take double damage basically from that skill line, have yet to fully test it against vampire pcs, though will be working on it more now.

The fighter skill line is meant to be the counter to the vampire and werewolf stuff, if it isn't working right needs to be rethought. Haven't been using trap beast much, normally just silver bolt crap when I see red/dark eyes and pale skin(or vampire skills being used since they are quite noticeable.).

Bolt escape does the same thing and I have not seen patch notes that suggested it was changed. Have seen Sorcs using bolt escape go down. It takes skill and a strong dedication to do so.

This is why PvP should have there own skill sets in a PvE game.
You try and balance skills for PvP and you break the PvE side.

I completely agree with this. I have been on both sides of the fight, with our scroll carrier as a mistform vamp & the enemy's. Mist form is THE only way to carry a scroll atm. You don't want to be that person that picks up the scroll without it.

They really need to make Silver Bolts do something special to Mist Form.

My alts a vampire, i don't really care, there are plenty of people out there who don't use these forums who know how to counter vampire in general and not just mistform.

    Tab Target is pretty handy.

Not really if you dont let the PvE aspect go out of hand like it is done in wow for example. Imo this is just a flaw of older games and not a necessity.

speed potion? i made a speed potion once that gave 20% run speed for 10 seconds....last i checked the "finest steeds" could achieve better than that at lvl 1

so if a horse cant catch him...why are we to believe a 20% run speed potion magically will?

So... our hypothetical vampire drops batswarm, fires off mist form, and books it. Our vampire killer chugs a speed potion... let's assume it's somehow long enough and powerful enough to actually catch up with Batpire. By the time you find the, batswarm has recharged mistform because of ultimate cost reduction exploits, Vampire Hunter fires off broken talons and... then batpire fires off mistform again. Only, this time, uberspeed potion of vampire chasing is on cooldown for another 50 or so seconds... so... what's the plan B? I feel like I'm missing some insight here.

I watched a Sorcerer move one for our side on Wabbajack the other night and he used the Lightning teleport and the whole time I was thinking "This isn't broken at all..." Honestly you shouldn't be able to use any of the teleports or forms which grant you speed while doing this.

LOl not gona call anyone noob or anything but any aoe root stops mist dead in its tracks and immovable doesn't make you immune to root ether. So any DK with "tallons" or any sorc with "encase". These abilities don't require a target, also for those who don't have root skills all you need to do is catch up to mist and bash it to knock a vamp out of it (also doesn't require a target only that you face him and be in range).

I have to give a credit to AD pack of Vampires with VR10 Night Mistress leading them (seriously VR10 10 days after the official release?).

Night Mistress - v12 Former Empress Sorcerer AD
Night Mistress II - v12 Night Blade AD

Roots and snares work against mist form. However, retreating manouver cures those effects and give immunity along with a 33 percent stacking speed boost for 20 seconds.
